Hamilton said himself that Webber was in his blind spot, and thus must surely have known that if he was going to turn in then Webber might have been there somewhere! Hamilton could just have left more space like Kubica did in his similar move later on. I don't know what the hell people are expecting that Webber himself should have done to avoid that incident, it's laughable to suggest he should have a penalty really. He was almost alongside when Hamilton started turning in.

At least we have some consistency from the stewards now - no penalties given for any of the similar incidents we've had today and recently.

Consistency?? It seems they've penalised Hulkenberg and Suthil retrospecively. Suthil committed his 'crime' on turn 7 of the first lap!! What were the stewards doing? Crosswords?

Just watched the highlights. Lewis had that corner and Webber just ran into him.

alonso was lucky to win race with two red bull cars behind him and it would be nice to see a red bull team win drivers championship and constructors championship nice to see mark webber back in racing form at grand prix,what does hamilton think he is doing trying to take out mark webber with a silly dirty overtaking like that.all good results come to those who drive sensible,i dont know what hamilton was trying to achieve by making a silly mistake like that and that is his third time making a mostake at 3 different grand prix events.also ferrari changed an engine or a gear box in on massa car and i know he started from last place on the grid but how come he didnt get a grid penalty for next race like force india got in a previous race where i think it was italy other than that the grand prix was great.bring on the next race as it will be a great end to the f1 calender.the circuit at singapore is very testing for drivers and teams.vettel and webber hopefully take all the trophys away at the end of the season.i am not following any team in particular but every time a certain team does someting wrong like the comments from the team saying that one driver is faster than the other that is obvious to anyone.

"You need to look at the risk, whether a move is possible or not, and if it's not possible you don't try."

Um... hello europa. Your first post seems a little confused. Too many drinks for Vettel, maybe? You claim "i am not following any team in particular" yet your post is sprinkled with hopes for a Red Bull win. You call Alonso's masterful win "lucky" and also slam Lewis for a "silly dirty" overtaking move. I think you need to re-examine your statement about having no preferences.

Those penalties were for corner cutting, not racing incidents. So yep, it seems they are being more consistent now. I've seen the replay of the crash countless times now. Webber ran into Hamilton just as much as Hamilton turned into Webber.

Why? I watched a legit move by both drivers which could have gone either way?

Lewis was already a half-car length ahead of Mark. It was time for the Red Bull to pull back a tiny bit. I think he did it on purpose...

Why in Gods name should the car/driver who has the racing line and is fighting for position "pull back"?? Honestly some of the comments and opinions here are simply ludicrous !

you keep saying this, but its not true the outside, mid track line is the racing line into turn 7 webber was trying to force the position back by getting it up the inside yes, but he was never gonna make it to the corner in time with hamilton ahead, even if only half a car length, its still only a racing incident but its definitely not on the back of hamilton for causing it.

I know they were for corner cutting but when it takes them 2hrs to decide someone has corner cut it kindov suggests they arent being too sharp about things.
