Come on akr, Vettel's not that good, you want him in the McLaren, that way he can randomly drive into people now and then, losing McLaren constructors points, heck he might even take out Lewis.

You have a very valid point there. I never thought of it that way until now. :hehe:

There is genuinely a lot of history and passion with Ferrari, why did Alonso learn Italian (of course its possible he just learnt it incidentally), plus their a good bet to produce championship winning cars.

...because for years he was Flabio's prison bitch.:whip:
"Fernando, carino, quale cazzo vuoi in tua bocca? Il mio o il tuo?" :yikes:

 I literally just spit out some of the coffee I was drinking while reading this.

He could already speak Italian long before being at Ferrari or even being a potential Ferrari driver. I have footage of him and Massa arguing after a race (I can't remember which one) but it was in 2007 when Alonso was at McLaren. Massa was sooking about something that happened in the race in which Alonso got the better of. Alonso kept telling back to Massa, "Quello non si puo fare" (You cannot do that). Anyway Alonso is a Spaniard. Learning Italian is easy because it is very Spanish like. He probably already knew it in his Minardi days and probably spoke it most of the time with Briatore at Renault.

I'm pretty sure Alonso went to Ferrari to piss Ron Dennis off, he was a McLaren fan growing up apparently.

Yes he was. it was his dream to drive for McLaren.

Yeah I was a McLaren fan too when I was a child and growing up, and while we are at it, pigs fly too. :hehe:

hahahahaha funny. That's probably what he asked Alonso before Singapore 2008.

OH, if you only had footage of their discussion after Germany's race!

Vettel has the animated hand waving already so I know he'd be able to learn to speak Italian.

No, seriously, Alonso was a McLaren fan as a kid. The Tifosi have been suckered if they think Alonso's one of theirs, he didn't join Ferrari out of passion and so forth, which is what Ferrari (claims to) and their fans (actually) stand for, he joined out of spite and a shared enmity.

Alonso's a Ferrari man only in so far as the enemy of McLaren is The Scuderia's friend.

Edit: Also, kudos to you Ferrari on hiring all McLaren's castoffs (Kimi, Fernando). I hear Pedro de la Rosa needs a job too if you feel like sacking Badoer

Yeah, that's what i think more or less. After you are in Mclaren, in a championship-car i guess the potential other rides narrow signifficantly. But i do remember a long time ago i said Ferrari NEED to hire Alonso because i'm sure there's noone more determined to beat Mclaren, and it seemed Mc would be building challenging cars for a while......

Now, all they need is to get Kubica and... on with the crushing! hehe

Maybe Lewis Hamilton was trying to imitate his idol Ayrton Senna! The Brazilian used to have a habit of making moves like that; put it up the inside and let the opposing driver make the decision; either allow him room to pass or have a crash, just that Senna was much better at it, 9 times out of 10 the opposing driver would give room! But that was also in the days when if two cars collided it would often end in both drivers being out of the race!
