Just the idea makes me laugh, but I'd say bring it on, I don't see Kubica playing second fiddle to Alonso! How far back to we have to go to find Ferrari with two equal drivers - Gerhard Berger & Jean Alesi in the early to mid 90s? from '96 to the present day there has been clear #1 and #2 drivers, Schumacher, Raikkonen and Alonso.

i think kubica in a ferrari would be amazing, he could keep up / outpace alonso going on the sparkles of recent years.

but its just paddock rumors, its been discussed before but while alonso is at ferrari, they have no need for anyone but a team player. kubica while he could play for a team he is far to much of a talent to be pushed around, and while he is clearly renaults number one driver he has no reason to leave.

that being said i would love to see him in either ferrari or a mclaren.

I dont want Felipe to lose his seat.......but it would be kinda cool watching Alonso lose his rag. Cant see Kubica pulling over.

Ah, so, Massa will once again be Kimi's teammate then eh? I guess Schumacher really is retiring then, so he can go there and mentor Massa and be ignored by Kimi! :hehe:

I hope you're joking...Kubica will probably match/beat Alonso if they were given equal treatment.

Alonso would wipe the floor with Kubica

I doubt that!

Me too (doubt that). Alonso is better, but not by a considerable margin, and i think luck has a greater impact than the small margin these guys all have between them. Oh boy, it would be great to watch though...

Id say Kubica is better, he has better mental strength and in a tight intra team battle we know how Fernando reacts. Kubica would just race while Fernando will just cry and cry and cry some more.

Those are straight facts indeed. i guess Kubica will not cry when the #1 car beats him at Monaco 2011. At least we'd know who's the bigger cry baby (i have no problem waiting). I'm also sure Kubica wouldnt pout on the podium when his teammate outdoes him.

All Alonso's problem is his head, hes mighty fast in the races and quick in quali as well. Maybe it was just the extra pressure from coming to Ferrari, I think Alonso feels he has to "earn" the respect there, and at Ferrari thats a lot of pressure.

Kubica's good, I'm not sure he's Alonso good. As for the No.1 No.2 thing, if Kubica can keep himself fairly reasonably in the title hunt, he won't have to pull over, Ferrari aren't stupid, they don't just tell one driver to drop the win for the sake of it.

Also, diddn't Ferrari support Massa over Kimi in 08? So how was Kimi their de-facto number 1 driver?

That was end of season support, not decideing early on support, very different animals! And i think Kubica cud easily be Alonso good, he hasnt had the car yet.

For all I care Massa can leave the sport all together because I don' t see him ever having a chance to win the wcc and wouldn't make a good champion, even though i've been waiting to hear the brazillian national anthem again.
