Despite the BS he's put us through this year...clearly its FERNANDO ALONSO

Whether we like what happened in Germany or not, Alonso is still in the title hunt and if it wasn't for the mishap in Spa he would be even closer

No he's not a crowd favorite on this forum or at many tracks on the F1 calendar...but he is a veteran at 29 years of age and has the experience and wit to out grit many drivers on the grid

I'm going to plump for Schumacher (as much as detest the man) as Schumi got on with business when things weren't going his way unlike Alonso who moans, moans and moans and usually drops back because he can't get past his perceived injustices! I don't see Alonso winning another five WDC's, he doesn't have the mental attitude!

Schumi got on with business??? Team orders was much more open and allowed, he had no competition from his teammates and if someone looked to take the championship from him...what did he do....take them out. I also mean Alonso has much harder competition now for the championship and he did beat Schumi twice in Schumis best years. Therefore I put my vote on Alonso, that said I dont think he will manage as many championships and Schumi will always be the top dog.

What I meant by "got on with business" is that if Schumacher had a setback in the race like Alonso has a couple of times this season, he will not moan about it, he'd get his head down and drive out of his skin to grab a few points or even win the race with the help of Ross Brawn's tactical abilities. Alonso has the same #1 status as Schumacher had in 1999 at Ferrari this season, which is the time frame for Alonso's abilities in this poll! I'm not a Schumacher fan by a long chalk but I respect what he has achieved!
