:hehe: Wow...and I'm not even trying to provocate you here! Don't get a heartattack now....

Anyway, who cares if its above 90% or 80%, its all about comparison. If McLaren end up having more failures than their main competitors, it's not going to make them solid, as they are LOSING OUT.

doesnt matter whether you're trying to provoke me or not. I dont mind... But if you're going to reply to stuff I say, at least understand it. Or dont come up with bogus interpretations just to say some BS. So... like I said, for each time you do so I will answer in the same fashion. Get it, :censored: face?

McLaren has not been as solid as Ferrari, RedBull, or Merc this season. Full stop. :hehe:

Actually I dont have an issue in 'understanding' anyone else's posts around here.

But I will not stop you from this tactic of "oh you are so dumb you can't understand anything I say" since you have nothing to back up your varying posts which contradict yourself all the time. It's amusing, and fun. :D

You got one thing right, I'm not offended one bit. Your anger amuses me.

i dont fully agree with that statement, because Lewis has 2 dnf's, so has vettel, and button and webber, rosberg and schumi have had 1, but then they finished out of the points more often (rosberg and schumi)

Were they all down to car failures? Buttons only car failure was in Monaco and he was in 6th or 7th position at the time.

The Redbulls, were their 2 retirements down to car failure or driver failure? I can't remember. But I recall clearly an article stating that McLaren lead the department of car unreliability this season.

I think Vettel's 2 DNFs were in Australia (brake failure) and in Turkey (crash with Webber)

Bahrain *felt* like a DNF, emotionally at least.

First of all... the whole conversation is getting extended based on a (deliberate) MISINTERPRETATION.

I have mentioned Mclaren having the most solid car in the past 3-4 seasons. This season is not over yet. And so far, Mclaren has been pretty reliable, not to say the most reliable (at least in the top 3).

Button's failure cannot be regarded as a reliability issue, as the team made a mistake leaving something they should not have. Lewis' rim failure can (be regarded as a reliability issue), because while his driving may or not contribute, the part failed and its happened as well with Heikki... pointing to some characteristic of the car...... similar to some of Vettel's issues, but reliability issues.

Also, failures are more than a simple DNF. Vettel had a signifficant failure that timr he nursed the car home. No DNF, but there was a failure. Ferrari has had several engine swaps without an obvious in-race blow out, again no DNF but that's a failure.

I think that any of the actually driver have the potential to be the Greatest ever. Maybe Lewis Hamilton has some possibility, cuz he's young and he has demostrated that he's a driver who can make history, but i don't know if he's good enough to hit the record marks of Michael Schumacher, Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost, etc.

Well in the end, it matters for McLaren how strong the other teams are in reliability. No matter what some other opinions might be about McLaren being "very solid for past few years", it doesn't matter squat if others have been even more solid. It's all R-e-l-a-t-i-v-e. There was no 'misinterpretation', just logic. Why not we compare this years McLaren to a Ferrari 4 years back and say McLaren are 4 seconds faster than the 4 year old Ferrari (2006)...it's ridiculous!

Fact is McLaren are 4th best this year in the reliability department, and Lewis has suffered 2 while heading for podium positions. That's a heck of a lot of points! :irked:
