I guess Jean Todt made a couple of "discreet phonecalls", a few visits to some Redbull and Ferrari engineers later, and it's all sorted.

I'm all goose fleshy!
The thing is they know they can't copy/implement it (like the Blown diffuser) in the remaining races, so they're going to try and get it banned.
So Mclaren are advising the FIA on how to perform tests... that's a nice one

Welcome to the World of Formula 1, nothing new there, if a team shows some innovation and benefit from it; all the other teams try to get it banned, that's F1 life!!!
My point is valid; teams have always tried to get other teams innovations banned, especially if it gave them an advantage. It's just coming to the fore now; before it was all behind closed doors and the public never heard about it. Usually, it's complain about it, claim its illegal while attempting to make their own version in case it doesn't get banned! Either it contravenes the rules or it doesn't. Red Bull haven't circumvented the tests, the test was clearly laid out and the front wing passed the test, McLaren are just jealous because they didn't think about it first and now don't have enough time before the end of the season for R&D to create something similar!

It's killing you isn't it? And it's all by the book!

Not really. Not even half as much as its killing Mclaren and their fans not to have the flexi wing...

The pain may subside after this weekend.

Or may worsen if the RBs pass the new test. Ouch. That'll sting.
