So Jenson wouldnt deserve it??
man, if he DOES win it, it'll be the most rightiously deserved WDC of the decade! :hehe:

How do you justify this? Jenson can't even keep up with his teammate on pace, let's keep the Championship talk between the elite drivers here.

I have said it before and I'll say it again; Jenson has as much chance of winning the WDC as Webber, Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso, if he does step it up and pull the results out of the bag then he will be a deserving champion. You can not possibly say that he is not in the elite, he is the reigning world champion after-all!

Have to disagree with you here, I agree Jenson is a very capable driver but I don't see him being top 3. As you say, he needs to step it up, so on current form (IMO he's doing his best already) he's not going to cut it. Which is my point.

Interesting. Print this out and bring this to school on monday; ask your teacher what this means:
IF HE DOES WIN IT (the WDC).

Ask mommy what she meant when she typed out on your behalf "If he does win it, it'll be the most righteously deserved WDC of the decade!"

Why would it be the most righteously deserved. I'm just curious about her opinion on this. Thanks.[/quote]

Ok. She says:
1) Since its 2010... ANY winner will be the best of the decade. You see, he'll be the only one...
2) She says also that if Jenson is able to bounce back from his position, in a new team, beat his teammate and beat the others in better cars... It'll take a MASSIVE accomplishment. If he pulls it off... He more than deserves it.
3) Finally, she says make sure you eat all your veggies, and be nice tomorrow at school.

I believe that Jenson does have the capability to pull results out of the bag but he tends to need to have his back against to the wall to make it happen, so maybe this will be the case. If McLaren can give him a more stable car or weather conditions play into his hands, he could quite easily overhaul the small deficit and win the WDC. I guess we'll find out who's right in half dozen races time. I admit it will be tough with Lewis on top form and the Red Bulls being fast as all hell but not impossible!

But that said I believe that it will be one of the Red Bull drivers that becomes world champion, hopefully Mark Webber!

Kimi better come back. Should have been Kimi and Alonso this yr :irked:

I could never figure out why you would keep Massa over Raikkonen either. Especially since you have to pay him anyway. I mean, if you have to pay him, would it not be better to have him drive? He would have done better than Massa. If it was Raikkonen who wanted to leave, then they shouldn't have had to pay him. Unless there was a conversation we don't know about, like Raikkonen saying if you want Alonso I'm leaving but you have to pay me my contract, that's my offer. Prost did exactly that for '94. He was paid his whole Williams contract amount in '94.

Raikkonen didn't want to leave, I belive.
Or at least he was smart enough to not say he did want to leave!
It was Ferrari who looked for any possible solution that allowed them to sign Alonso.

But I don't know why they kept Massa either, even if Raikkonen wasn't up to his game in 2009.

Have you all forgotten about Massa's accident? Plus he was driving very well last season for the car he had. There was no way Ferrari was going to let him down like that.

More likely Alonso didn't wan't a teammate who would beat him regularly...

Exactly..I believe Massas accident in a way earned him another year at Ferrari. Unless Ferrari just didn't want a power struggle in their team, especially since their new 'lead' driver isn't a very mature one. :hehe:

*cough* Webber *cough*
:wavey:

Yes Webber is more than capable of winning the title and, despite whatever happens this year, he'd deserve based on the last 15 years of his life.:clap::clap:

You've done the right thing, and I'm very proud of you.

Also, yeah Massa was beating Kimi, but that doesn't really mean Kimi wouldn't be doing better than him this season - different car.

he he. Thanks. I also ate my veggies.

As for Kimi beating Massa or not... I dont think its straightforward to say who was not willing to drive with whom. Sounds likely Kimi was a bit more 'picky' about his situation because he was already contracted... Massa was still recovering from the injury, so who knows what clauses there may be in these guys' contracts that wouldnt allow Ferrari to bench them if they are injured... Also, no way to know if Alonso was the one in the position to say who he felt he wanted to drive with.

So, in other words... who knows. So why speculate?

All we can tell is Massa beat Kimi, sometimes Kimi beat Massa. And Alonso beats Massa. Its all we can say we know.
