^Tbh, breaking the rules is fairly simple. Massa and Rob were just pissed about it, but Ferrari could've made it look not so clear cut.

When they can simply just break the rules.
Massa was ahead and lapping on equal terms. Saying Alonso was faster is ridiculous.
And mate if you're afraid of banging wheels then sorry go watch Rally. The risk of coming together is what makes a pass exciting.

Telling them to hold station, is also breaking the rules.

They wouldn't have had to issue that order since it was happening just fine all on it's own.
BTW, you do realize that you're trying to explain the nuances of Baseball to a mostly European audience?
See I get that, soy Cubano and la Republica Dominicana is the best feeder into the Majors but I just found your explanation funny.
all i know about baseball is from A League of their own. And that there is no crying in Baseball.

Really? you sure Alonso didnt back off while the team figured what was going to happen, or what they thought was better to have less risk? He backed off temporarily to save risk to the team's result and his championship chances. The normal situation was push Massa and try to force a mistake, except with the teammate that's not the best for the team.
Order or no order he was going for it. There was no way he was going to keep holding til the end of the race. Everyone knows it.
and man oh man would I have love to have SEEN that... I'm sure you would have loved to see it as well.
I always knew he was a jerk. And I always had a feeling that Ferrari was/is dirty.
That is all.
Exact timeframe of this suitcase? I knew about Alonso from 2005 and Ferrari since I started watching F1 (1998)
I'm sorry but I don't quite understand your wording so I apologize if I am misinterpreting it. I have actually known that Alonso was a jerk before I liked F1. When I was a young girl (didn't care about F1, but happened to be watching), I was watching a race with my dad and we discussed Alonso's character. So yeah. I don't even know why I remember this conversation so vividly, but ever since then I haven't been a fan. I wasn't trying to sound pretentious or something.
My fault. I meant timeframe since you knew of his wretched personality. You interpreted correctly.
Why didn't Ferrari just tell him to hold station? Which brings us back to the OP. Alonso would have thrown a hissy fit, spat out his dummy and driven Massa off the track. That's who he is and that's the truth about Fernando Alonso.
Let me get this straight. You are saying that Alonso and Ferrari are evil bar stewards for team orders that you believe told Massa to move out of the way...but you are saying it would have been better to have team orders telling Alonso to hold station?
Your true colors have just shown. You couldn't care less whether team orders exist or do not exist. You simply hate Alonso and don't like that he won the race. Hypocritical garbage.
alonso thoughts; Hey massa won't let me pass, this is rediculus, I am the champion n I should pass come on. I am better looking than massa, I should go for the title n become mr 3. what do massa thinks he is supposed to do? race? I am the faster , I should win! I should take the WDC, It's mine, It's mine, It's mine!
alonso to the team ; Ok guys this is rediculus (= do something becouse I cannot pass him n it's bad for my image)
team to massa ; Ok.......so..........(= what's up)........Alonso is ''faster'' than........ you.......confirm that you understood the message
massa thoughts ; I can't believe that filthy rat, come on ''crying rat'' take my place, take my win, n take my b***s too!
team to massa ; ok good..... just stay with it now......sorry......
Alonso thoughts' yes, yes what an excelent overtake, I'm the fastest, I'm the best, I'm the winner, I'm the champion, I AM GOD!!!!!!!
Teflonso
Martin Brundle referred to Alonso in a recent article as Teflonso. Has anyone heard him called that? What a super name for him!! Brundle was talking about him being central to all the recent big racing controversies.....so I can see where the name comes from.I think its ace
