Could this be the first f1 car with a shark fin engine cover connected to the rear wing, its the ferrari 312 from the early 70's.

The weird thing is there's no air intake opening on the front body
I take it you mean this...
I wonder what its function is as there's no rear wing to direct airflow over. Maybe its for high speed stability.
But those sharkfins are not engine covers.
