I'm sure everyone means colored as in black from africa. And it does make a difference, an indian driver may be colored, just like a latin american, asian or any other nationality; but nationality is one thing and ethnicity is another.

So, yes I think the fact that this is the first time an African-black colored person is racing in F1 is a big step for F1's universality. Not only F1... but also the fact that this black person is representing a 'caucasian' nation and that you find people of all backgrounds at least acknowledging him, says a lot about the world and the progress humans have made towards racial integration.

To me personally, and to much people it doesn't really make a difference if he is black or blue, but the world is not always like this.

I agree Flea. And why haven't we seen a Smurf in F1 yet?

Hmmm, watching that kinda made wonder. (also made me register so I could see if anyonce else agreed - Hi).

If Hamilton got flustered and blew his race. Could RD have kept him on a 3 stop strategy to stop Alonso from winning the WDC, and thereby making Kimi got the title? I remember seeing how emotional he got after Kimi won his first race with the team.

Somehow I don't really see Ron gifting the Drivers' Championship as well as the Constructors' Championship to Ferrari, Mooker.

I will never understand what Mclaren were thinking keeping Lewis on a 3 stop after he slid so far down the field.

he pressed the "f1 media circus enhancer" button

hahaha
but no, he pressed that one in MONACO.
I thought he pressed in when he got 3 consecutive podiums at the start of the year.

Also, in a non-racist way, he pressed it before a wheel had been turned by being the first black F1 driver.

Although I do get your meaning f1ea, and agree with you. don't get me wrong.

Is THAT really so important? I don't remember such fuzz about first Asian driver. Or first Indian driver. Or first ... driver. After all, kid is English and they are not so rare in F1 as Indians. WTF skin colour has to do with it... and in XXI century..?

Well I think you will find racial intolerance on all sides. A recent case here in Florida where a young thug and thief was sent to a boot camp where he died. The officers in charge went to court in Panama City. A video clearly showed that the boy was held down and forced to smell some kind of ammonia smelling salts. But the doctor found sickle cell defect that was the cause of death. When the boot camp officers were found not guilty the AA community was up in arms and marched through the state capital (Tallahassee). These are the same people who marched in the streets and celebrated when OJ Simpson was found not guilty of murder!

So don’t be too harsh on people mentioning the color of skin, intolerance is not exclusive to the Caucasian!

Which is kind of off topic.

Sorry Mods! but what did I say?

Anyway... I just think it is great that Lewis is competing at the pinnacle of non-military human technology.

Leave him alone, he had the hopes of an entire nation on his shoulders and was nervous beyond all recognition, he did a great job in his first season.
