pitpass.com are today reporting that McLaren deny Lewis Hamilton accidentally hit the wrong button during the Brazilian GP. this goes against what was reported in a previous thread on this forum, but now you can decide for yourselves.

take a look at this video:

another trial by YouTube? well yes, but the team are saying one thing, while Eurosport are reporting another.

would love to know your thoughts on which button Lewis actually pressed and if it caused the problem?

I'd rather just press the stop button and we move into the post-season!

I would have pressed the easy button at the start of the season.

he pressed the "f1 media circus enhancer" button

That would explain why he slowed down then was perfect again. Normally when the gears go like that it's hydrolics and you don't recover.

Probably just a Rookie mistake, it was his first season, he was probably bricking it. He had the expectations of an entire nation on his shoulders in his first season of F1, I would have just poo'd my pants and passed out long before the race started.

i think Lewis is great but there is so much media crap that follows him around all the time, it gets beyond a joke, let the man race, let the man learn from his mistakes.

I thought he pressed in when he got 3 consecutive podiums at the start of the year.

Also, in a non-racist way, he pressed it before a wheel had been turned by being the first black F1 driver.

Although I do get your meaning f1ea, and agree with you. don't get me wrong.

McLaren inspected the gearbox before the race under parc fermee rules, there must have been some reason.....

I agree with Woodchip too, except that by getting those podiums and being the 1st colored driver in F1 what he started was a "media BOOM BANG!"... not really a "circus" :)

Why does the fact he's black have anything to do with anything that's my question. It makes no difference. I don't get how the country is supposed to promote equality among everyone and yet then makes a fuss over it?? Odd. Surely it's more an age/rookie issue.

I asked this before, but how dark is the skin of the Indian driver that drove for Jordan? Karthehayan or something. I know you don't consider Indians black, but is he not a person of colour?

Well Indians have caused some racial abuse in the Cricket of late

Australia just did a tour of Inida and one of our players has African genes via the Carribean, the crowd at one of the games was chanting out "Monkey" towards him.
I have a mate who is Indian he is very dark indeed! Karty is Coloured, and then you have the guys from South America like Juan Pablo and Massa who you wouldnt really call white guys....

but who cares what they look like right!!!!
