This has nothing to do with Hill and the past.

Schumacher was penalised on a technicality. Whether it is right or wrong, it is there in black and white in the rules.

still waiting on the official FIA reasoning, cause it seems odd given what Brawn said.

The new rule - 40.13 - states: "If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pitlane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking."

nothing to argue there.

Well who wants to pick out my Ferrari avatar? :(

:hehe: Something proclaiming them as the best F1 team ever would be appropriately funny i guess :hehe:

Revenge is sweet. That was for the 1994 title.

OK now that you and others have recieved your revenge is it possible that you can now move on??

Well it's not like I've had anything else to cheer about have I?

We can make a thread for it :) a contest: Design Bud's Ferrari avatar.
Between the Forumula members

Good idea :hehe: we could say 24 hours to sumbit entries, then create a poll so people can choose the winner?

Brawn said they were informed the SC was coming in. But they didnt specify it was coming in because if its the last lap it will come in, although the race will continue/end as if the SC was still out...

A great move no doubt but a breach of the rules and nobody on this forum is a bigger supporter of Schumacher than I.

I disagree with the penalty. Whats wrong with a bit of racing and last corner heroics. It was a brilliant move. There was green flags. It's not like he cut a corner or did something dangerous.

Seems there's a rule clash. Ross Brawn was adamant they could race, and he's not the sorta person to just make that stuff up.

I personally don't blame Schumacher for the mistake he made. Clearly nobody really knew what was going on and they were racing. Schumacher was the only one of them that successfully made a move.

My guess, supported by the evidence shown by Brawn, is that race control wasn't sufficiently clear about what was going on.
