Red Bull will win, of course. No question if it doesen't rain. Unfortunantely it's the truth :(

I don't think Red Bull will be 0.9 - 1.0 second ahead in Monaco. I think it will be quite close between the three big teams.

Mclaren, always been good around Monaco i would say Lewis but Jenson might be in with a shot

McLaren haven't always been good around Monaco. They never won Monaco even once in the 70s. Their first win was in 1984. And last year they were dreadful in qualifying and even worse in the race.

Yeah, because a teams form during the 70's applies to today. McLaren's form around Monaco for the last 5 years has been brilliant. 2009 they were brillant around Monaco considering how good bad that car was during normal circumstances, it's just the drivers how it fluffed it.

But this years cars are massive boats. I'd say driving those cars around Monaco will be tricky. Thats why I'm keeping an eye on Kubica and Renault. That car looks quite nimble and might just spring a surprise around the tight streets. This should not be a Red Bull track. Along with Monza, this should be the track Red Bull are expected to go worst around.

Ferrari seemed pretty quick around Bahrain with that tricky infeild section. I'm gonna take a gamble and say the Ferrari will take the win with Alonso driving.

It was Gaz who said that McLaren had always been good around Monaco. Their 70s performance is very relevant to Gaz's statement.

Yeah, because qualifying 7th and 16th, and with finishes of 12th and a DNF is "brilliant". Have a look at the fastest laps too. There's no way McLaren's performance last year can be described as "brilliant".

89 - 93 relevent enough for you?

Can't really look past Red Bull again. Even taking into account circuit/car characteristics, who the hell is going to make up over 8 tenths this week? They've got another update arriving too! So unless it rains or the drivers hash it up...

One thing that is very possible is that in Q3 we may see the fastest ever lap around Monaco!

Surely that makes it "there have been times when McLaren have gone well around Monaco. And there have been times when they haven't". So, history doesn't tell us much about whether McLaren are likely to be winning this year.
