I realise alot of people might not like me suggesting this, but a Russian GP would be good for Formula One

Good for F1, bad for the world.

Good for both imho for the simple fact that if the rest of the world continues with the attitude you have how does that leaves us? I'll tell you where back in the mentality of the 'Cold War Era' and with a stoneage mentality.

Sorry, only Americans (And only a very few of them) still give a sh** about the Cold War. Russia is a legitimate problem for the world thanks to the actions of Putin and his borderline despotic ruling regime. They're corrupt election-rigging cheats and they are not to be trusted.

Actually I could care less about the Cold War as I only used it as an example of the seperation I feel is still perpetrated against them. Regardless of ones political views does not mean Russia should not have a F1 race, that is between them and Bernie regardless of your personal political agenda towards them. You do realise that someday, sooner rather than later, there most likely will be a Russian GP right?

I don't recall saying you did care about the Cold War, your post makes it pretty clear you don't.

What does the fact it's going to happen have to do with me not being happy about it? I didn't want Conan to lose The Tonight Show either, but that still happened.

I hope for an Icelandic GP soon. Who needs rain if there's volcanic ash to slide around on?:hehe:

Why the hell aren't you running f1? Come on, max got away with those parties, you've got nothing to fear.

I disagree with the anti-Russian mood on this board.

Meh. Come back when Putin lets them have fair elections, then we'll talk.

For all the controversy surrounding the Russian Federation, the majority of the population voted for Putin because they wanted a strong leader. The elections were largely free - Russia has signed up for a number of international conventions.

The Elections were a sham.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree there.

The Elections were a sham.

I read once, that the 2nd ellection (the re-ellection) of Bush was a sham!!! But then again, I'm going off-topic... what a shame!

My opinion on Petrov is that he was lucky to have that money to support him! But he still needs to show us (and on first palce, his team) really how good he is. And if he don't mess it up this year he'll have a long carreer in F1. And that would have nothing to do if there is going to be a Russian GP or not.
