That was scary! Lucky nobody got hit by the wheels that just sheared off! I've never seen anything like that before!

Crazy crazy s***. I was seen the headline this morning, Buemi in massive practice crash. But honestly, I didn't think anything of it. I actually ignored the headline thinking it probably wasn't that bad.

But woah. In slow-mo the higher parts of the supension just seem to twist, forcing the rest of the suspension to shatter. I mean, it didn't just damage the suspension and twist a little bit. It completely shattered on both sides within a heartbeat. It's crazy.

I know it's said after every big accident. But the safety in F1 is supreme. Buemi just crashed at 200mph and he's 100% fine. 20 years ago it wouldn't be same story.

He didn't really have much of an impact, just a massive shocker!

He did not crash at 200 mph. he was doing 200 mph when the right upright broke. There's a difference.

Yeah, what I should have said is that he didn't have serious high speed crash thats to track safety improvements. Some years ago he would have found himself in a barrier very quickly, not being able to drop of the speed and going from something below 200mph to 0 very quickly. Instead we've got massive runs-offs.

In the old days of catch fencing, it was hit and miss as to whether was going to help you or hurt you.

Very Crazy!!! I saw the replay when the second round of Friday practice started and it was insane. It may be for the better that both the front wheels came off instead of just one. I think at that speed if he had only lost the one of his front tires his car may have veered severely causing a much more devastating crash. I'm glad he's OK and hope the team get back together for qualifying.

While watching a replay of the incident during qualifying and viewing some of the incar camera shots of drivers adjusting their brake bias I had a thunk? What if Buemi simply failed to re-adjust his front to rear bias (or had not set it at all) and simply had WAY too much front bias for such a high speed, short braking zone corner?

I think it's pretty cool seeing them adjusting the brake bias in the cockpit, atleast it gives you something to look at them doing since they swapped a steering wheel and gear shifter for a playstation controller
