Being almost 45 years of age and an avid fan of F1 most of my life, I must admit that I am now bewildered as to events leading up to and inc this last race of the season. To much has happened off the track this season especially with Alonso's actions towards his team and Teamate.

I really am at a loss to try to describe just how I feel watching this farce of a race, and farce of a season. China was unbelievable, when TV commentators with a stopwatch can call that a change of tyre was needed 4 laps before Hamiltons blowout, not to mention the multi-million pound data information collection systems within the McClaren that their information did not warrent a call to pits for a tyre change even when everybody else without their technology could plainly see his tyres, something smelt funny then and stinks to high heaven even now after watching the last race.

I could go on typing paragraph after paragraph on situations, comments, and certain mechanical problems to certain drivers, this would be a waste of time as the supporters amongst you will already know most of what has taken place this season.

Alonso's ego couldnt take a rookie beating him, Ferrari lets make everything seem like a drama, and absolutely unbelievable goings on within team Mclaren (maybe lewis should have had a spy sleep with his car last night like Alonso, LoL), he might well have been Champion now !.

Well thats me out of here 1 post and a passionate one. I supported BSB (British Superbikes) this year, cost me £41 for a full race weekend inc camping and tickets. It provided me with true racing, from hero's who race to try and cover the costs of their tyres. less than 1 second seperates 4 different makes of bikes, and they indeed risk their lives doing something they love.......its passion !, something that lacks in most sports ruined by money (and respect to Ollie Bridewell, who sadly passed away this season ay Mallory Park in BSB).

F1 is over financed and an insult to Motorsport, how much does a car cost ?, jeeez seriously. How many times have you heard " Oh the car behind will have to back off, because he is in the dirty air of the car in front ", its insane cars that become undrivable while racing behind someone, oh LoL, I got to to keep my sanity a car incapable of racing the car in front now thats racing ?.

Bernie Eccleston..................wtf, he should be in an old folks home lol, F1 please see the farce you are fast becoming, I thought things couldnt get much worse after the US grandprix with the tyre fiasco, but.................. I was wrong.

F1 wake up, to much money, to much so called technology, let the driver drive the car, not the pits, bring back racing, cars that race each other through pure engineering not IT robots recieving their limits and capabilities from someone sat in the garage. Make the cars more aerodynamic for racing each other, thats when racing may return to F1 and I wait for the day..........................

In my almost 45yr's dare I say that we will not see the 'glory day's' again that you and I both had the priviledge to witness. Although today's race gave me hope that we may still witness good racing without sponsor or political input no matter of the reason or implication's.

Welcome to the forum,

I can see where your coming from but if i was Bernie i'd be over the moon with it all

The sport is creating a stir and is getting fans in. Which is just what we want. F1 isn't a big sport around the world and isn't as big as Football, Rugby, Tennis Etc... Abit of corruption over tyres or engines or anything like that can actually be good to keep the sport in the news

Without Bernie this Sport wouldn't be where it is today

Exactly Williams,

It is making the news for the wrong reasons, often through childish comments made by drivers. They are proffesionals and should act acordingly, but for a few seasons now F1 has become a procession qualifying is crutial as to many times its just cars pulling away from each other and the field jusr opening out into minor scraps for lower places.

A lot has taken place that im sure a lot of fans and supporters are unaware of, cars really are controlled from the pits. Data regarding tyres and engines are recieved then limits sent to cars so the driver still drives flat out but with lower revs, lower brake pressures and BMW have developed a system to change tyre pressures while driving.

Introduce one rule to F1 no communication between car and pits in any form, only via a pit board. I think then it may well produce some "absolute racing".

Dennis and all the Mc Laren team have been Hamilton

Congratulations to Ferrari that really deserved the Championship!!!

No doubt Fernando is the best driver but chose the wrong team, no professionals just personal affairs during the whole year, happy to see Dennis won nothing this year...

When was it that they allowed telemetry into Formula One?
Was it back in 2000, with the reintroduction of Traction Control?
Mind you surely without it, Lewis would have been out after the gearbox seized?

Absolute rubbish. In any other profession Alonso would have been dismissed for such behaviour, if you ever want to see an unworthy champion, Fernando is your man. Raikkonen deserved to win this season.

I have no arguments with you am1727 regarding the isolating of the driver in the cockpit. I do believe there is too much emphasis on hi-tech computerised telemetry systems, radios etc.

I know it's in for bad the news for the wrong reasons but it's the wrong reasons within the sport. We don't get drivers in the papers for being out on the town and having 3sums with 2 transvetites or anything like that. It has people on the edge of there seats and is bringing money in to keep our sport going

Formula 1 is an expensive business and sponsors will not invest in something people arn't interested in

As for no pit communication that would be pointless and cause more problems because your pit crew wouldn't know when you were coming in or when your team mate was coming in and therefore would screw the CC up. It's a teams responsibility to be able to compete. Teams like Williams, Ferrari, Mclaren have been working hard for years to get where they are why should a team like Spyker for example just be able to walk in on a level par and be winning races. It wouldn't be fair

Don't be ridiculous Gibraltar is Spain, everyone knows it isn't, including the people who live there. Is that the Spanish flag? It looks like a budgie being strangled.

Hamilton still has many things to learn, he has showed in the start that he has mentallity of a child. :D

I agree with you completely, do they think we are all totally stupid? No need to answer they obviously do. Like you I have had a belly full of F1 and sadly will not be attending or watching again.

That's a pre-constitutional flag, aka "the chicken one".
