Renault engine is fine, it is Newey's car design imo. I mean the works team have had no engine problems for a number of years, meanwhile Red Bull with their tightly packed chassis appear to suffer problems left, right and centre.

Apparantly Red Bull are still investigating the engine problem. Would they need to be doing that if it was just a spark plug?

What's this about it being a thirsty car? I'm sure that the Red Bull has the best fuel efficiency.

What leads you to this conclusion, none of us truelly know the truth?

Hence why it can be fuelled lighter ahead of the race...

Did I miss something, please enlighten me?

I will stick with the spark plug explanation. I hope that Ron Dennis is not right. Obviously the reliability of the Renault engine is causing a few issues, as we saw with Mark Webber's start.

I find it odd that Webber seem's to have more issues than Vettel?

Hey mate. The commentators were raving about how fuel efficient this car is at the start of the race...

btw i always thought there was a rule that the drivers needed to drive back to pits after race. vettel stopped at pitwall.

43.3 After receiving the end-of-race signal all cars must proceed on the circuit directly to the post race parc fermé without any unnecessary delay, without receiving any object whatsoever and without any assistance (except that of the marshals if necessary).

Any classified car which cannot reach the post race parc fermé under its own power will be placed under the exclusive control of the marshals who will take the car to the parc fermé.

Anyone that watched the race should have been able to hear the car misfire, the commentators on SPEED certainly noticed it. Vettel also seemed pretty surprised when he said on the radio that he had lost power, I like the guy but I think Ron is wrong in this one.

As for not driving it back to the pits, I'm sure we all know that saving engines is crutial for later in the season, they probably parked it to avoid potentially causing more damage to the engine.

Ive only just heard this speculation:-
Ron Dennis says its possible that the Red Bull drinks too much fuel or has too small an engine. The ECU will switch the car to fuel saving mode if it senses this and that could have accounted for Vettel's loss of power.
Well there's an interesting idea. What do you think?

I do find that very interesting, as that would explain a few things but why then were they not the fastest in testing? But also the exhaust is a problem too, with it being too compact. I do think they have rushed there ca rand have made it to complex, but we will see in Oz, but Ferrari do seem to have the most together package.

Felipe Massa does not agree with Lewis Hamilton's comments that Red Bull's car is "ridiculously" faster than the rest of the 2010 field.

After finishing third behind the Ferraris in Bahrain when Sebastian Vettel's pole-setting RB6 dropped behind with a problem, Hamilton told British reporters at the weekend that the Red Bulls enjoyed a huge performance advantage.

"The Red Bull is ridiculously faster than anyone else's car," he said. "It's insane. The downforce they had on their car last year was at some points just about double what we had. Even at the end of the year they had so much more than us, even though we had won a couple of grands prix."

But Ferrari's Massa, who finished second in Bahrain, is not as downbeat as Hamilton about the pace of the Adrian Newey-penned Red Bull.

"In testing, the Red Bull might not have been the quickest car in terms of lap times, but I had noticed their pace over the longer runs had been very strong, so its speed in Bahrain qualifying was not a surprise," he said. "Overall, we were very similar and that reinforces the need to try and improve our car at every race through the season," said the Brazilian.

Massa believes Ferrari was even quicker in Bahrain than Red Bull on the harder of the two Bridgestone tyres.

That was far too over the top from Mr.Hammy and i have to agree with Massa, they do have a fast car. But then Webber? He didn't have such a successful race, so I assume they are testing two packages and they both failed in my eyes. i think Ferrari have problems with an over heating engine but they have the most together package. the McLaren looks like the shiz but there seems to be minor niggles there two. So With the Ferrari on a 1-2? That to me just shows there on the ball.

They both can't be right, so we'll see what happens in Oz soon enough. It's obvious that quick in qualifying isn't the same as quick in the race since lap times were > 8 seconds because of the fuel load.
