there's 6 cars that are going to get lapped and lapped and lappped especialy the HRT which was 11seconds of the pace.

Now its not a problem with this circuit but in Monaco its going to a nightmare.

dont complain gaz. wasnt that what happened to your team as well last season.. or something close at least ? and did you guys not catch up late in the season?
give em time . they will catch up as well

Uh. McLaren were not 11 seconds off the pace at any point last year. And they used bundles of cash to catch up

I'm not complaining mate i'm stating my opinion. Also Your comparing HRT/Lotus/Virgin who are anything from 6-11 seconds slower than the faster cars to Mclaren was was 1.5sec off the pace in Oz 09.

so thats 6 Cars that are going be a heck of alot slower. Also Mclaren has the developement prowess to pull a car back from that. i'm sorry but these newer teams are potentialy going to struggle to even keep up let alone catch up.

We'll have to wait until Quali to know their pace for sure but we could see some trains at Monaco.

Some of the things you come out with are beyond understanding. Comparing McLaren's times last year with the new times is just ridiculous, how can anyone take you seriously with comments like that. :banghead:

Senna has said they weren't - and couldn't - run at full pelt today, so they're probably not as embarrassingly bad as it seems. I am concerned about Chandhok though...

After reading the technical and sporting regulations I did not find any regulations stating any performance criteria apart from the crash tests that the car has to meet. Under sporting regulations I guess they [EDIT]could[EDIT] say the car was unsafe because it's so slow and ban it.

Sure, but what guarantee is there they'll be able to go full pelt in the race?

Interesting point. Senna did a 2:06.9

Whilst the GP2 asia pole time today was 2:07.1 (thats with the old GP2 car, not the new faster car)

It could be the case based on this:

Bruno Senna is confident the new HRT F1 car will be faster than fellow newcomers Lotus and Virgin.

On Thursday HRT confirmed Senna and Karun Chandhok as its drivers and unveiled its Dallara-built chassis. The car has not completed any pre-season testing, but by comparing Lotus' and Virgin's testing times to that of the Dallara GP2 car, Senna is confident the HRT can match its rivals for pace.

"Lotus and Virgin were in Barcelona just a good second faster than the GP2 cars, of which Dallara has indeed all the data," he wrote in his column for Motorsport Magazin. "And we should be faster according to their calculations right away, at least two seconds faster than the GP2 cars."

However, Senna is well aware that reliability will be a major factor in the early races.

"Of course, much will also depend on whether the car is stable from the beginning to some extent," he added. "I hope that, with the experience of the Dallara men and with a little luck, a few of the problems that the other newcomers encountered, especially in the hydraulic system, will not trouble us."

The HRT will run for the first time during Friday practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12.
