Have you heard of Graham Joyce? If you like fantsay you'll love him. I've read several of his books. They tread the fine line between fantasy and reality. One of his books 'the tooth fairy' was nearly made into a film but he puled out because he didn like the American slant they put on his book. Never the less he's won several prizes for his books. Google him, he's well good!!

You would have to make that recommendation just after I come back from book shopping I've just had a quick look at his site and his work looks pretty interesting - have added The Tooth Fairy to my Amazon wishlist so will probably end up buying it on the next book buying spree I go on. I bought Shadow's Edge by Brent Weeks this morning - the second book in his Dark Angel trilogy. The first book was awesome so I have high hopes for this second one

Faithfully going through the "Discworld" series by Terry Pratchett, some books better than others but all so far have been entertaining.

One of the most powerful books I've ever read, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Johnathan Safran Foer. Highly recommended.

And lastly I just picked up Alice in Wonderland to read again.

Has anyone else read 'Brave New World' or struggled with it? I feel I may be giving up on it too soon...

I love Brave New World - fantastic book IMO. However I think my reading tastes are the opposite to most people on here

I've just finished 'Morgan at Le Mans' by David Dowse. Fantastic book about the trials and tribulations that Morgan went through to get their Morgan Aero 8 into the Le Mans race (no prizes for guessing why I bought this book ). The one niggly thing about the book was that there was obviously some sort of power struggle/dispute going on between the author and one of the other team members. Hints kept being dropped throughout the book and I kept thinking that something awful like sabotage was going to happen, but nothing ever materialised. There's obviously a really large part of the story being missed out, which is a shame - I can't help feeling the whole story should have been told or the petty comments should have been edited out.

I'm 40 pages from finishing my Williams book, so today whilst I was out at the shops I picked up James Hunt's Biography by Gerald Donaldson.
