In response to claims that Red Bull and Ferrari are considering issuing a protest regarding the legality of the rear wing on the McLaren MP4-25, the Woking team has said that it is unaware of any problems.
"We're very confident that our car is entirely legal, and we're not aware of any protest," a spokesman for the Woking team told Pitpass. "In fact, we've spoken to Ferrari this morning and they're not aware of any protest either."
Red Bull and Ferrari are said to be concerned at a 'slot' on the rear wing which is thought to reduce the level of drag on the rear wing and thereby increase straightline speed.

Seems its just Redbull.
if its not a moving part then its not illegal.
Sometimes F1 regulations leave me flat and confused. It want you to be innovative, however if you are too innovative, then things get banned. So to buds point, I hope they look at it as they looked at brawn last year and let it go.. I things like this should be sussed out early on.. not a week before the start...
I day before first practice "Oh Look at that freaky bit, its illegal!!" Its been there the entire time of testing and now you are just seeing it.. hmmmm
That's a neat trick. Certainly a neater trick than a sticker to trick people RE: the location of the exhausts.

Heh. Although the placement of the exhausts themselves is quite novel... As is that small air inlet up near the cockpit of the McLaren, which, depending on who you believe, is solely for aero purposes rather than cooling ones.
