The FIA won't be publishing the car weights after qualifying this year, so we won't find out which are the heaviest and which are the lightest.

That won't really be relevant anyway, they'll be trying to be as close to the minimum allowed weight at the end of qualifying. And then they'll fill the cars right up for the race, unless that's what you're referring to, the race weight.

I'd like to see which teams have to run the most fuel and which have to run the least.

Which would be interesting to know re. fuel consumption and strategy.

It'd give fuel consumption but not strategy.

JT replaced MM - could become important during the season...

Yet to be convinced about JT but at least MM is out.

Fuel weight does have an impact on strategy, e.g., tires.

No tyre warmers

I think this idea was scrapped after strong opposition from the teams on 'safety' grounds, if i remember correctly...

Are you telling me you'd be able to work out how many stops, what laps those stops are and what tyres will be used for each stint going by the weight of fuel put in the car at the start of the race?

Did I say that?

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by strategy then.

It does have an impact on strategy for the teams, but for us to claim to be able to predict what a team comes up with re. strategy would be preposterous - there are too many factors to account for, half of them we have no clue about as the teams guard them carefully.

The fuel levels affect strategy because heavier cars will eat tyres faster.
