It may depend on who will cope better with the loss of traction control...

I just looked at the season's results. Had FM played second fiddle on a consistent basis, he could have gifted his position directly to KR in two races, Indy and Istanbul. A net gain of 3 points for KR. Hm, KR is 3 points behind FA, hm, interesting. Don't you guys think that Ferrari now in hindsight (or especially after the Brazilian GP) might have some second thoughts about their equal status policy of this year?

Of course they will. Ron Dennis, on the other hand, being a man of impeccability, will have no such second thoughts regarding his sporting principles.

Massa's biggest flaw is his unreliabity. He is bindingly quick one race, then off the pace the following. He has gone a long way in the past couple of seasons, but is still there. If he can irradicate that from his game then he will be a WDC (and deservingly so, just hopefully not in a Ferrari).

Oh, and hi everyone.

I agree concerning his reliabilty but as long as he win's a WDC why should it not be in a Ferrari? They are only the team who has given him everything to accomplish what he has done, had the forsight to see he has some skill. I think he would be overjoyed to have his WDC accomplished while with the team who has made him what he is today?

I like Massa, but detest Ferrari. Massa was my favourite driver when he was with Sauber. I'd love for him to go back there, but doubt it will happen now. :(

I really think people have to see past his years before and look at what he has done this year, and what went wrong and why.

Alot of bad races haven't been his fault. True Malaysia wasn't great, and he did slip up in china quali. But it happens, hes still a very young driver, but he has a skill a lot of F1 drivers are missing, hes willing to listen to others and accept that they can help him improve, and that alone makes him as a good a driver as anyone else.

You have to think he has outraced top drivers on equal terms, so theres no doubt he deserves a great team. I mean, ferrari wouldn't have chosen him if they didn't think could win races

Why do you detest Ferrari? Is it because you detest a winner, would rather pull for the underdog or just have other issue's that are beyond the scope of this forum? I'm not ranking on you but too detest is too hate and that overall is a very unsporting attitude and outlook but then agian this reply is based solely on my 'Hillbilly" intellect and outlook

There never has been a team or a driver that I detest.

This man here is pretty much the sole reason I hate Ferrari...

This is his fifth season in Formula One, so he's hardly as inexperienced as some would make out. Look at the composure Hamilton, Rosberg, Kubica, Vettel have shown, and look how quickly Kovalainen has adapted. There is a similar story with drivers in the past: Senna, Schumacher and Alonso to name but a few had excellent debuts. Massa has suffered a lot of bad luck this season, has certainly improved and showed he is willing to learn by listening to Schumacher, however, he has not got the raw ability and, generally speaking, when in the same kit as somebody as good as Raikkonen, it shows. Not necessarily in raw speed, but in overtaking, pressured qualifying laps, wet-weather conditions etc.

^^Really
Thats why the year he could of taken the WDC he had 3 engine probelms, pit team forgetting to fill his car, suspension failing close to a potenial win at Monza, and tyre probelms after a potenial won in Germany.

While the other 3 have had a near faultless year

Yeah that totally missed the point.

So so true in every aspect, very well put.

^^We'll i still disagree
Cars easier to driver or not, if your faster, your faster.
Massa has beat Kimi in quali at most of the races.
He absoultly dominated Bahrain and Spain, and just took a stunning pole in Brazil.
Like it or not, he has been faster than Kimi, and that requires skill, it dosen't matter the cars are easier to drive, he has outraced his teamate for the majority of the season, which makes him a fast driver worthy of a championship.

You can't just say someone wins due to the car they have, they have to faster than everyone else to get the driver seat in the first place.

Agreed but refering to my original post does he has the mental fortitude to become a WDC? He has flash's of brilliance but also has shown a tendency to collapse under pressure. I want him to win a WDC .
