the only problem with this is its impossible to predict until the person has finished the race.

its not really easy to work out in the sense that Lewis wins then Alonso is 2nd you gotta grab your calculator to see how many points he's going..

and its going to be really hurt by penalties.

For example if Lewis wins with Alonso 2nd and Lewis gets a 25sec penalty but is 30secs ahead of Alonso the points gap drops massively.

as long as the safety car comes in before the end of the race it does not matter. just imagine a 1 lap sprint to the end. 10th of a second could mean a few points
