hes seems so nice and humble, fun to watch and good, hopefully he gets a drive, i have no major problems with what he did to nakajima, and it was his first race,
hes about the only thing that injected excitement into abi dabby do gp
Yep, we've seen people do much worse on their first race. We've also seen people do much worse 6 or 7 years after their first races. Happens
I think the rumour about him going to Lotus sounds pretty sound. Toyota mention they might help their drivers find seats elsewhere for next year. Would make sense to see Truili and Kobayashi in the same car next year. To have an Asian driver for a Malaysian team isn't too bad. It's not like Fariuz Fauzy will be good enough.
This is a quote from Kobayashi.com
The pilot Kamui Kobayashi of Toyota saw his future of 2010 was in danger in spite of having surprised all with his driving in only two big disputed GP. Toyota’s exit of the F1 was removing him from the competition, but Lotus is interested in him.
“Obviously, I have lost my place in Toyota. But I am near signing an agreement for 2010 since there are four new equipments(teams) and many options”
As for Kobayashi doing badly in the lower categories. He was okay. Italian Formula Renault champion. Then 4th in F3 euroseries behind Grosjean, Buemi, and Hulkenburg (not bad for such an incredibly competitive year) But when it came to Gp2 the car just must have not suited him. But Gp2 Asia Champion wasn't too bad.
But it doesn't say much that form in GP2 doesn't translate into speed in F1.
