I think we have to suspect that Hamilton is being mealy mouthed again. Behind the scenes, Hamilton and his father want Kovalainen to remain at McLaren, as they know he is a mug and will easily be beaten. It seems, again that Hamilton is looking out for himself, and is not worried about how McLaren as a whole do in the constructors' title. Poor form, if you ask me.

As the opening words of my post suggest ('I think'), it's very clear I'm only offering my own take on things (though Hamilton and has father pushing for Kovalainen to be given another contract is a fact). If you don't like my opinion, say why, without being sarcastic or resorting to personal insults.

Chris - thats your own crowd backing lewis unconditionally into the fire as well. sometimes i think many of em dont even know exactly why they supporting the guy but they do - maybe they feel they have to i guess. - maybe they dont like some of the other drivers coz they dont like "queaky clean" guys where honesty is concerned. it does mean they should like Flavio... no ?? anyway I share your take on hamilton and daddy dearest - they been pushing to keep heiki and we all know why. lewis was asked directly about having a fast team mate and responded with some dumb drivel prefering not to answer the Q.
and headless - thats not a reason -. proves how stupid heiki is allowing him to be played by the peanut gallery

I wasn't mean, at least I wasn't trying to be. My point is that there are very few interviews with Lewis about his teammates, I agree - when he was optimistic about Button to Mclaren move and said nothing about Kimi then it's strange but I don't feel we have to make suggestions out of nowhere. Hamilton doesen't say much about Heikki and why should he? He's not trying to be rude with him. He has said that it was wicked to have someone like Alonso as his teammate, so someone could push him, why shouldn't we believe this and at the same time believe that he's pushing for a underperforming teammate?
