Ah but what I mean is, Button is an Englishman but he is also a Brit. He races under a British superlicense etc etc. Typical press though. English winner, British Loser.

Sir Jackie said that at Silverstone during his autograph session. Told it how it was.
The world of Formula 1 has paid tribute to Brawn GP's Jenson Button as the Englishman won the 2009 world drivers' championship in Brazil. Not to sound bitter or open up a debate, but what happened to him being British?
He won the World Championship.
For example DC is Scottish because he never won the wdc but if he did he would of been British.
My point exactly.
To be honest, I use British and English interchangeably, although I know I shouldn't. If it's any consolation I'll happily claim DC as a brit.
