I think you all need to get out more!!

I swear, if I see one more Lewisphiles vs Lewis-haters thread, I am going to scream! :irked:

I'm sure it's really fun for you guys, but for us who are stuck in the middle (i.e. those of us who think that Lewis is one of several particularly talented drivers on the grid at the moment) it's constant torture. Give it a rest for a while, huh?

I have a better solution. If you dont like to read pro and con posts about Lewis dont open threads with his name in the title :D

clearly something seriously wrong then with ur ability to really identify undisputable lil bits of talent in a driver so intent on screwing up while trying to make himself look good ... or do i have that wrong.... sorri then.

If they were genuine pro and con posts then I wouldn't mind, but they're not. They're irrational, blind admiration versus irrational, blind hatred. It's infantile, peurile and inconsiderate. And it's so bloody repetitive - it's pointless, annoying, grating, constant deja-vu.

And you know what, I'm leaning towards a variant of your solution - rather than avoiding particular threads, I'm minded to avoid the forum altogether.

you have a very good point! Im sorry on my part thats been played, but i dont see myself as an antagonist, I tend to defend the petty attacks by some on here (cough cough Tony) but i too am finding the forum a stale place especially with the latter around alot!

You dont need to go to extremes. Theres loads of threads without lewis in. And the two threads I started were not at all (all those big words you said).
One was a quote from Mark Hughes and the other was how lewis coped with KERS problems. I thought both were interesting and a good read. Lews is contentious so there will always be debate when he's mentioned but as long as he's in F1 he will be mentioned.

Far from being petty Juliet P has pointed out with alarming clarity that a lot of the "arguments" on here are nothing but badly worded personal attacks with very little relation to the sport that most people are here to discuss.

Tensions??? We all mates on here. Was simply an act of mischief and bordom, nothing more.

You're contradicting yourself, Anna. Either those two threads were, and I quote, "an act of mischief and boredom" or they were "interesting and a good read". They are not both. I would hazard a guess that the former of your quotes is more truthful. You can't deliberately stir up trouble and then credibly deny all knowledge. And I'm not really singling out Anna - as far as I'm concerned the same goes for the rest of you too.

Anyway, I've had my say. Don't particularly care whether others agree with me or not.

The Mercedes engine has the speed and it was his overall package that was wrong at the start of the season. KERS helps abit but both McClaren and Ferrari have proved its pretty crap.

ok Juliet.. get off racechicks case now. the both of you in love with lewis for reasons i will never understand. everything that was said are based on actual events and issues. maybe some on speculation but whose checking. - all it was or still is - is a discussion that you want to turn into a warzone.
relax please - no need to fight.

Not a contradiction. I did think they were good read thats why i singled them out of autosport. In fact the KERS one was put togrther from two different sources. HOWEVER. I rather expected a backlash and I guess thats where the boredom and mischief came in. Sorry if you're upset it wasnt the intention.
