Lewis Hamilton will win in Abu Dhabi, after his results in Albert Park, Valencia and Singapore.

What so you reckon he'll then get disqualified later after it's revealed McLaren lied to the race stewards again to get the real winner penalised?

I don't know what's up with him, he's making a meal of it, I think Jensons great, In every race he still shows the sparks of brilliance he had at the start of the season but I suspect the Championship is constantly at the back of his mind, he's terrified he'll loose it and it makes his every step tentative.
If he wins it he'll deserve it but he really has to win one of the last 2 to shut people up.

I agree with you - guess the car wasnt improving with the rest of the teams and now decided not to fight but do what is needed to just win.
I wud love to see him blow em away like he did the start of the season. far as I am concerned - he deserves it if he does enuff to take it.

Weird analogy but have you ever played an arcade machine, your doing really well and then suddenly everybody starts gathering round to watch you beat this machine, You become more aware of them that playing the game and you Muff it. You own early success is your downfall, ( based on my experiences playing Defender in 1981).

you really saying the pressure got to him - suppose you right there as well. I have given up expecting to see him challenge and fight at the risk of maybe having a dnf or anything after what he said. thats why i say if he takes it - good... if he loses it in the 10% chance that there really is its his own fault. I know rubens might deserve it more and Vettel has lotta years ahead of him to try again.

I'm not convinced that nerves have gotten to Button; he has been right there with his team mate for the most part with the exception of when Rubens won and JB finished 7th in the European GP at Valencia back in August. I simply believe that the Brawn car has stood still while Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull have overtaken them!

for the sake of F1 vettel needs to win the title. they need proof that their regulation changes didn't make the sport predictable again. in fairness it has sorted itself out, but the start of the season was unforgivable. some races, for example monaco were among the worst i've ever watched. it brings back the argument that they need to learn to write a concrete set of rules, no if's or but's.

button hasn't been that good this season, if you look at the amount of places he keeps dropping at the start of races. the amount of times he relies on pit stops to overtake people in much slower cars. he isn't a good driver. i say that fully aware of his early season dominance. there are many things that annoy me about button, and i was reminded of them all when i saw his post race interview in japan, confirming that he thought rosberg would get a penalty. for the sake of that smug *censored*, i'm glad he didn't. wether he sped under the safety car or not. and on an unrelated noted, when was john button ever at races during his honda years?

Button has been beaten off the grid because most of the cars around him; Ferrari's and McLaren's have KERS, His car isn't as dominant as it was at the start of the season as the major players have caught up and it seems Ross Brawn has no answers. I don't see what Jenson's father has to do with his performance; and you are wrong; John Button has been in the background throughout Jenson's career but doesn't take the opportunity to talk to the press as often as Anthony Hamilton.

i didn't make the point that it had anything to do with his performance, i'm not a fan of any of the F1 dads club. just hadn't noticed him in any of the years i've been watching f1. and there are only 4, sometimes 6 when renault use it, cars with kers on the grid.

given an equal or similar car to the rest of the grid button would be somewhere towards the back.

Is that because of your dislike for Button or based upon real talent? if all drivers had exactly the same equipment; I believe JB would be up in the top six on most tracks. I believe that Jenson isn't so good on street circuits were aggression is more important than smoothness, which may explain the series of poor results.

Oh come on, 2004 Jenson was the only man who gave the Ferrari's a run for there money, 2006 he scored more points than any other driver after Hungary, from a backmarker, I don't think so, Jenson the real deal, Not consistant enough and been in the wrong teams for most of his carear but Backmarker!, a bit too strong.

I agree about the Dads club, to be fair to Jenson's dad he hides in the Hospitality Bus, Lewis's dad just stands at the front rubbing that pussycat dolls arse.

That's a pretty small and recent club though, there's only really Hamilton, Massa and Button's dads in it! :P

As for the comment about his potential performance in an 'average' car, i've seen enough from him in the past to make me completely disagree. And Button hasn't been that good this season yet leads the championship by a solid margin and has won more races than everyone else including his highly rated team mate? Doesn't bode well for others by that logic... Change the record already!

Button's biggest problem is a lack of ultimate one lap pace, which is especially important in the current climate where the field is so closely matched and overtaking so tough.

You forgot Piquet and Rosberg. In fact most of these are famous dads or precosiously talented sons. I bet theres even more dads lurking in the background who dont get airtime!!
