I still believe he has the potential to be as good as his uncle, afterall it was Ayrton himself who said "If you think I'm good, wait until you see my nephew Bruno.".

Yes but that was over 15yr's ago. I wish him all the best but do not forsee him setting the track's on fire like his uncle did.

Personally, I hope Bruno makes it to Formula One. He's tried hard and clearly has sufficient abilities. Whilst it's true that Bruno has not shown that spark of genius yet. But has shown another spark of genius. Compared to most people who become involved in professional motorsport, the guy has got involved in things quite late on, as he was forced to stop racing after Ayrton's and his father's deaths. So, for Bruno to basically start afresh at his age and to learn as quickly as he has done shows a lot of talent. Further, he did well in GP2 last season, only losing the title to Pantano, who knows GP2 cars inside out, and bad luck (like colliding with a deer or something!).

It's also good that Bruno has not been twiddling his thumbs over the past year or so, getting some more experience, especially that which will be useful for the 2010 Formula One regulations. The amount of sponsorship Bruno is almost certain to attract will be of value to a lot of Formula One teams, especially the upstarts.

It's unfair to say Bruno might not be as good as Ayrton, and, besides, it's irrelevant to whether or not he should be in Formula One. How many drivers have there been throughout the history of motorsport who have been as good as Ayrton? Some would say absolutely none; it's certainly no more than several. All that matters is whether or not Bruno is good enough for Formula One at the moment (which I think he is, certainly with a year's experience under his belt).

Oh deer! :P

It was a dog he collided with, but I can probably understand why you thought it was a deer.

He also had further bad luck from dodgy FIA decisions and his pit crew mucking him up.

I would like to see a Senna in a Lotus. I think the biggest thing is that he will never be as good as his uncle in peoples perception. Why? because Senna is a Legend and his abilities have become almost a myth. Plus the mists of time will obsure people from seeing the flaws/mistakes that Aryton made, because we remember him with god like powers, getting faster and faster around monaco until he was a massive amount faster than everyone else or that first lap around donny in the rain

Excellent news, just as I began to dread that nobody would be considering him for next year.

Well nobody else in motorsport would say that about him.

Agreed Bruno was only 10 when Ayrton died.

Oh come on he probably said that just to be nice. Do you think he actually meant it?

I agree, I think he should be in F1. He was ace in GP2 (it was dogs at Istanbul, not a dear) otherwise he'd have won. Also he had that contraversial pitlane penalty. With Nicco out of the picture for McLaren, if Kimi doesnt go Id like to see Bruno there. I think he and lewis would be a great team with a lot of mutual respect.

imagine if he did get the brawn seat for 09 and was in Button's shoes at the moment leading the championship, that would have been epic.

I would like to see him in F1 as well. :wavey:

I love that dream but only for one reason which i rather wont say for fear of reprisals from the "u no who" club

Does Senna deserve F1???, he hardly dominated GP2, In a year were Pantano's performances were so sporadic and full of DNF's he practically invited Senna to take the championship off him, But he didn't, I remember his second half of the season being very patchy. I think if he went to F1 he'd embarress himself.

You can support more than 1 team or driver - well i guess you can if your not a Ferrari fan who HATES EVER OTHER TEAM.

or a McLaren fan who goes frothing at the mouth at the mention of ferrari

need i say more ??

I hope he atleast get's a ride if not for just the pleasure of seeing the Senna name back in F1. Sadly I missed his GP2 season so I cannot make an educated guess or assumption as to if he showed any promise. Also he look's so much like Ayrton I know I will/would get chills seeing him in the pit's.
