7-0

I hate to say it but Australia have comprehensively outplayed England... and the ECB have elected to abandon the 50 overs game at domestic level.

R.I.P. English One Day International cricket :(

Meh, Test cricket's more important and the Ashes are the epitome of that

The team share your sentiments, that's why we lose

Is ODI still being played for the world cup ?

Yeah it is, but there are rumours that ODI's are going to be changed to 2 25 over innings a side matches.

As Lionel Richie would say...
"Oh What a feeling, when we're dancing on the ceiling"

Ewan, were you looking for this http://www.forumula1.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4922&start=990 instead?

Not quite. Not quite.

I'm still lost then. What was your Lionel Richie excerpt supposed to mean?

Celebratory - that's all.

MY question though hasn't been answer. Do you cricket fans, expect McLaren because he kindly answered, watch the "Cricket World Cup" when it's on and support England?

I used to yeah, it's all still cricket. The 2003 WC match against Australia was epic, until we bottled it, like we always did.

Ahh but you watch that, yet not the usual ODI series?

What does that say?

You can't have it both ways.

I used to watch every one day series too. I'd get up at 4:30 in the morning over the winter to watch an innings before I went to school :D

Geed.

End of the day though, and this happens in countless sports involving the English... they suddenly flock to support their national team when they are in a big competition and look like winning.

So that they can wave there little flags etc etc.

However for the rest of the year they don't bother watching...

If you watch and intently follow the sport as much as you can then yes you are fine. But if you do not... it spells out two words...

I don't see a problem with it. I don't follow Rugby but I have in the last 2 World Cup's because we were doing so well.

I didn't pretend to be a Rugby fan, but anytime you put your full support behind a team or an individual, you're going to enjoy watching it.

If you love the sport, you watch it all the time. If you just support your country, you'll want to see it when they achieve something special.

Glory Hunting...

You wish you could have a go don't you?

Not really, why glory hunt when you can bask in the glory if your selected competitor(s) is triumphant in a sport that you actually follow?
