I don't know or pretend to know the inner workings of the Renault team of past or present, but I will say that I think it would be a hell of a lot easier to approach a young driver struggling to perform than a seasoned veteran of F1 with a plan to sabotage another driver's race.

Like Renault could even predict that Fisi would be anywhere near Schuy during the race. Not only that, it wouldn't have made a difference what happened Schuy that race. Alonso just had to finish in the points to win the championship that weekend.

Even if Briatore and Symonds did tell Fisichella to make contact with Schumacher, I'm not too fussed. Okay, it's not something we want to seeing happening in Formula One, but Schumacher got plenty of help from the FIA and Massa in 2006, and his career is littered with instances of deception. He'd be getting nothing more than a good dose of his own medicine.

I'm surprised this guy never mentioned Brands Hatch 1985 when Keke Rosberg purposely blocked Senna after he had an incident with him which saw Rosberg have to pit and end up a lap down, and all of this was to allow Nigel Mansell to pass Senna - who was Rosberg's team-mate at the time.

Was still fun though, but if that happened today the stewards would probably throw a childish tantrum.

And the tradition continues today, because Bruno has found himself on the end of some stupid stewards decisions... and one of them was probably behind the dog that ran onto the track at Turkey.

Looking at the original clip of Schumi and Fisi, in NO WAY did Fisi drive into Schumi, all he did was stick to his line and Schumi got too close to him.

Talking of Bruno I see he was the first driver to drive round the new track at Abu Dhabi the other day.

To look at Fisi bumping MS in 06 to secure Alonso's title is absurd because you can look at EVERY year's title fight and find a moment, an off or a collision or what have you, that cost some points for one of the contenders. If you can say that incident was planned by Renault, then you can say that about some driver for any given incident in any year.
