exactly i think he broke some form of man code in doing this.... just for that reason alone he cannot be trusted again so will not drive ever again. Crashing on purpose isnt important to a new team, the code breaking is the clincher!

So, will he have to wear short pants now and be content with his tricycle? :P

Depends what that mysterious 50 year old man is in to.... :yikes::whip:

He was a rookie. Give him a bloody break! :irked:

Renault are worse scum for putting all that pressure on him to start off with! How was he to expect thesepolitics in F1. What's he supposed to do. He simply didn't know how to react. And what's worse is that Senior was putting all this pressure on his son.

It's Nelson Piquet Snr who's the scum. Not Piquet Jnr. Piquet Snr is the one who blackmailed the team. Snr Piquet is the one who dobbed on Flavio. Judging by Nelsinho's comments after his dismissal I don't think it was his intention to snitch.

Seriously, who would put a kid under that much pressure!!! They're all a bunch of bar stewards for exploiting Piquet's innocence. They did not care about the career of Nelsinho. No one did. What could Nelsinho do? He simply cracked, he cracked under pressure. He has to comply because all the people who mean his whole world and his whole existence were treating him like s***, and exploiting him...

Can you imagine that? All of your role models exploiting you!? Anything that Nelsinho says in the press are his fathers words. No way could this all be Nelsinho's fault. He's not a waste of human tissue it's the sods that keep pushing him around. :nono:

I really have got to get some sleep! :cryfloods::coffee:

Piquet never was a man to begin with. Any douche with decent talent can make it into F1 with daddy buying every team on the way there.

Maybe there should be a new FIA rule for F1. No daddy allowed on pit area. I mean it's not carting anymore, F1 drivers are supposed to be adults already. Wife's and girlfriends make the pit area nicer looking, but who wants to see the dads hanging around there, there's enough old men there already. This is for all of those dads out there.

Now you've gone to far... you can't dis AC/DC... I going to protest by not posting for 1 minute...

But seriously I agree with Big Azza, Piquet Jnr was under immense pressure because he has the name PIQUET. A young rookie desperate to live upto his fathers expectations/reputation. Being manipulated by Flavio Briatore keeping him hanging for months on end with an option (race to race) contract! Piquet Jnr agreed to crash his car in Singapore as he believed it would secure his seat with Renault. I have never trusted Briatore, he always seemed very untrustworthy and a troublemaker to me!

Alonso is still popular.

Imagine you being Piquet. They say it's either play along or leave the team. You've worked hard to get there so of course you're not gonna say no. He just had to play his part and I doubt he was happy to crash.

I can't believe how many are crying about poor little Piquet Junior and the pressure the little guy must be under. What a load of crap. Every Ferrari driver who ever sat in an F1 car would laugh hysterically if you told him about the pressure that Nelson's daddy's name must have put on him. Pressure? Try having an entire country calling for your head because you spun. Having that name opened doors for him that his talent never would have. Having that name has made his racing career easier, not harder. Perhaps he did crash the car to secure a seat and it worked...he has been in that seat for quite a while without any results and constantly WELL behind his team mate. He was given his shot and HE FAILED. He is not a victim, he is a bad F1 driver and as it turns out a waste of human tissue. He will spend the rest of his life regretting his decision to seek retribution by outing his team....and I have no doubt he will never sit in a running F1 car again...for good reason. He sucks.
