Why is BE so against F1 vids on youtube? As a newer fan, youtube is probably the best place I've found to see old footage and learn some of the history. Is he afraid he'll lose money on DVD sales?

It's both that and him being afraid of upsetting the TV Companies who pay through the nose to carry the coverage.

Why are Anderson and Windsor pushing the America angle so hard? F1 should teams should want to win races, not display national pride. I mean guess some national pride is good, but it seems to be their main focus I'm not sure why the feel the need to mention it so often. Doesn't the world hate us enough already? :banghead:

Why not push the American angle as it has been missing from F1 for way to long. There is also the chance that the team will help F1 return to the US.

Seems to me they have a working business model. Bring in American sponsors who want to expand their brand name abroad, while helping to expand the fan base for F1 in America. You do the latter by building the car in the good ole USA and hire an American driver. They apparently have convinced some very smart/wealthy people thay their plan can work.

Everyone loves America when they need something.
And if the British and French can deal with Germany post WWI/WWII, they can suck it up and deal with USF1.

It's good that they have big backers but i struggle to see how they will get a half decent car quickly compared to the current teams even Force India are a Force these days. Thats the potential problem with big investors they don't mind spending the money but they want returns. Making a new F1 team from scratch is a hard thing to do especially in the current F1 climate where most of the cars are at most 2-1.5 seconds from front to the back of the grid.

I'm glad he will sponsor USF1, if it reach's fruition, but I think it is a stupid move to drop BGP as they are proven winner's and who does not want to be associated with a race winning team??

Yeah,Branson is atwat I think,YouTube in F1, will that mean we get YouTube F1 coverage. Sorry if that has been covered already, I am new to the Forum, and cba reading

I just hope all these american sponsors understand that it is not nascar and that you can run a team for $2.50 a race. Plus that big spending does not equal big points

USF1 is not releasing much info which leads to speculation about their future, but they are documenting 250 hours of work in all areas, all recorded in HD video. USF1 has an association with two media giants, YouTube and SPEED TV. IMO USF1 will most likely unveil their 2010 cars on YouTube and Speed TV, scooping all F1 media. Let the 250 hours of HD video answer all dissers now, racing starts next year.:rofl::rofl:
