Fantastic Drive by Rubens, had the pace when it mattered and when he needed it.

Your not going to get a more well liked victory, well done Rubens.

This is why I love Formula One.

Well, Hamilton's pitstop cost him only 5 secs, but ruben was 6.2 sec ahead of Hamilton after the pitstop.. so even without the mechanic mistake, ruben would still be ahead.

TAKE THAT MCLAREN!!!!

I was hoping for a McLaren cock-up and we got it when their mechanics didn't come out in time. I am very happy for Barrichello and he has now put himself in a good position to be the "outsider" in the Championship fight.

Another good drive by Nico with another clinical start which got him ahead of Button off the line, it's a pity he couldn't catch Kimi today and ran out of laps to pass Kovalainen.

Kubica overcame his bad strategical position to get a point and that will do his chances of a decent race seat next season good.

Your becoming very anti McLaren maybe AKR has possessed you :P
Still both McLarens finished ahead of Williams. Rosberg made a little compliment about McLaren in an interview :)

Rubens did a great race so did Lewis. HK did average needs to get faster.

At least Nico actually gained places unlike BOTH of the McLarens. :P

If Nico wants to turn his back on Williams, fine, at least if Williams are interested in Kubica he has driven a good race today as well.

I rate Rosberg more highly than Kubica...

REALLY ?!?!?!?!?!?

Red Bull and their engine...

What the hell was that...

ps: i know Horner ruled out KERS completely for Spa, but with Vettel's engine problem, he is very likely to get the 10 place grid penalty in this season. If the 9th engine comes, would it be beneficial if only Vettel run the KERS system? We saw today that Kimi made 6 places starting from 9th to end on the podium with his KERS.

Sebi, the engine killer :D

As a McLaren fan, I'm pretty frustrated with the whole weekend. I think the team had the pace to win this weekend (though it wouldn't have been a cake walk: Barrichello was on form), but a few factors undid the team. First, I felt the team's error in qualifying yesterday would come back to haunt them. Hamilton's messed up second pitstop definitely lost the team a lot of time - more than the two seconds Whitmarsh claims. So, out of three opportunities for a win (Monaco, Hungary, and Europe), McLaren have only taken one. Missed opportunities is really the story of McLaren since 1997.

Another disappointment, though hardly a surprise, was Kovalainen's average performance. Okay, he was not the favourite to win the race, but he was not a match for Hamilton at all. Hamilton's shorter wheelbase does not excuse this, as Hamilton's car would only have been a tenth or two faster at the most; Kovalainen was consistently slower than Hamilton throughout the Grand Prix. Even without the qualifying and pitstop errors, I doubt Kovalainen would have come second. McLaren are correct to be looking elsewhere.

Still, as a Formula One fan, my disappointed is negated slightly by Barrichello finally winning a Grand Prix. He drove extremely well this weekend,is still a solid driver, is a nice guy, and has things have not come together for him this season.

Button, however, needs to get his act together again. This weekend has proven those who said he's lost his head correct. He had a very scruffy weekend, and his last couple of Grands Prix have not been up to his usual smooth standards either. He's very lucky Red Bull were all at sea this weekend, and that McLaren are getting better.

Williams had another solid weekend, but they are still struggling to make the next step and get Rosberg on the podium. Rosberg is driving very well at the moment. He's now my first choice for taking Kovalainen's seat at McLaren. I rate him higher than Kubica, who's a gurn anyway, and Vettel is still too green. Rosberg has the speed and experience to do well for McLaren, and he gets along with Hamilton as well.

Badoer is a complete loser, even taking into consideration his mitigating circumstances. I can't ever recall seeing such an embarrassing performance from any Ferrari driver. A team such as Ferrari should not have to go through indignities such as that.

Well Well Well...
The Grand Prix we all feared would be boring as sin was actually reasonably entertaining today, and a welcome return to racing after such a long break!
I firstly want to say that seeing Rubens win really made my day. He is such a fantastic guy, and I'm so so happy for him. I also think its good for the Championship because Ross now cant pick between his two drivers so there are solidly four in the championship mix now.
McLaren should be ashamed of themselves however for a shambles in th pits! Did it cost Lewis the race? We will never really know how much time it would have cost him and if it completely deflated him mentally for those remaining laps, but for sure it would have been mighty close.
RBR had a mare with Vettels engine issues over the whole weekend, and now run the risk of needing a 9th engine, which would of course cheer Button up no end. Was disappointing to see Webber so far down the pack today but these things happen i guess.
Badoer surely wont race in Spa, but stranger things have happened!
In summary, a good GP, reasonably eventful and delighted with the Rubens win!!!! :cloud9:
As a side, those who saw BBC coverage, the grid walk with Brundle, loved it when he cut in-front of that woman to talk to Vettel he he!
