alonso was on a home crowd pleaser, he was 5th when he crashed, went in, stuck fumes in the car and went out to please the crowd. doubt he will be there tomorow.

Has anymore been done on the Alonso/Heidfeld accident?

I hope that wasn't the only exciting piece of action that this weekend will offer us.


McLaren lost alot of valuable time today, I wonder if that'll effect them. It appears that Brawn are back, while Red Bull are struggling. However as the track rubbers in they might be helped.

Williams are the dark horse in my opinion. Ferrari might possibly have been quite conservative with Raikkonen today.

I dunno, you can't really take anything from Friday's. Bring on tomorrow morning.

One thing I'll say about Alonso and his P2 time. I get the feeling that was a PR attempt to try and get more people through the gates. It'll probably have worked if so.

Say, what exactly happened to Hamilton in FP2? I missed the start - heard he broke a new front wing but surely that wasn't enough to end his session?

Good to see both Williams' and both Force India's in the top 10 too.

The front wing didn't break but the hanger on the nose of the car did and they for some reason couldn't repair it in the hour or so they had left so they gave up on the session. I found it very odd how the wing didn't break but the car was no longer working.

the car was prob setup specifly for that front wing.

Lewis has been running a completely new shorter chassis today so the old wings probably don't fit.....

That's the nose that Lewis had in 2nd practice for the new chassis which has a shorter wheel base.

Williams looking good again, Nakajima especially and they are continuing with their new policy of running heavier fuel loads in practice. It has really paid off when it comes to Q3.

Play up Naka, just get into the top 8.

The new shorter chassis is supposed to help out at the high speed circuits of Spa and Monza

At a guess they only had time to make 1 wing for the new chassis so they made one which they expected to work such as the one from Hungary rather than produce a purely experimental one such as HK's new wing.

Button seems to be fairly happy with the car - apparently it feels like a Brawn again. They just need to perfect the balance tomorrow morning.
