I like that we have real qualifying, but no refueling in races is kind of a bummer.

That said, at least it means that POS the FiA calls a fueling rig can't ruin any more races.

half of me actually likes the jumbled up grid, with the aero the way it is, and the fastest cars upp front, and no refuel, might it be a literal procession every race? same fuel, fastest cars starting from front, still no overtaking?

Some engines might run leaner of simply don't use as much fuel (also some drivers drive more fuel efficiently), so the fuel load at the start might vary a bit.

Would kind of like to see tire warmers go, I think it would be more challenging on the drivers and more fun to watch, but I don't really care too much. I am however a bit disappointed about completely throwing out the budget cap. I was never impressed with the original 40 million plan or two tier system, but I do think that some steps towards lowering costs need to be made, I thought FOTA and the FIA had agreed on that much. I think lowering costs is key in keeping close racing and making F1 a viable option for private teams, I hope there is more on this than what we are hearing, to just drop the whole thing like this would really irritate me as a fan.
As for a light Q3, obviously I'm exited. Don't care about KERS being legal either, if no FOTA teams will use it, I doubt anyone else will as its expensive to develop. The refueling ban has me torn, on one side I like the idea of the cars racing each other directly for position through the duration of the race, but the pit stops are going to be like 4 seconds now and with the most difficult aspect now taken away, I think they could be pretty uneventful and boring. Oh yeah and the cars will be slower, which I never approve of, but I doubt the performance difference will be noticeable for the viewers in any aspect other than lap times.

Not really imo and my opinion comes from someone who has witnessed firsthand no refueling pitstop's, me. The challenge is still the same in who can make the quickest stop. Too much thought is being put into the time it will take to change tire's and not enough into the pit entrance and exit timing, not to mention the pit crew and their speed and accuracy. There are so many variable's that some do not realize. Also the no refueling ban will bring out more of a driver's/team's racecraft and skill. I will use Alain Prost/McLaren from the '84-'85 season as an example ok, he looked SLOW yet was setting the fastest lap/lap's because he was the 'Professor' and knew how to manage his car, it's tire's and it's fuel.

Refer to my ^ comment about the car's becoming slower. If a team manages their fuel and tires correctly they could very well set the fastest lap of the race toward's the end of the race.

Mosley's idea of getting rid of tyre warmers is another artificial way of creating excitement in the sport. Buy and large, a sport should not need such gimmicks, so there is clearly something fundamentally wrong with Formula One (i.e., an over-emphasis on aerodynamics and lame tracks).

Although I can see some advantages of banning refuelling, overall, I'd like to see it continue. For a start, it reduces the team aspect of Formula One. Down the toilet goes strategy and the ability of the pit crews to decide the outcome of the race. The argument that banning refuelling is environmentally friendly and more economical is a non-starter. First, with refuelling, you can still limit the amount of fuel teams can use throughout the weekend. Second, with the engine freeze, cost cutting, and the team's ideas about the future of Formula One powerplants, designing more fuel efficient engines and moving away from petrol is not really on the horizon. The refuelling ban is another gimmick.

Personally I like the race fuel Q3 as it mixes things up instead of seeing the same half dozen cars up front constantly. The refuelling ban is pointless to me unless tyre changes are banned as well, pit stops only to fix damage should be allowed to compliment the refuelling ban in my opinion. I also don't agree with tyre warmers, make the drivers try harder to warm their tyres on the installation lap, cooler tyres will sort the men from the boys, making the start of the race more exciting!

I don't think KERS saves any fuel... It just helps produce more power at different times.

it could be used to save fuel, but it would have to be automated so that the throttle is lowered when the KERS is enaged
