That is the best scene ever in Father Ted. When Ted has to get out and move all of the boxes, yet when he gets back into the car he speeds through them

um, definitly something sporty and low, but now not a lotus, impractical, [as much as i love the exige]

They really aren't that bad y'know....we've done Europe a couple of times without any problems in the luggage department! (and no roof rack required )

Just got back home from a weekend away and got buzzed by a Honda NSX. He was also messing in one of the M25 tunnels (i.e. dropping it down a gear to make lots of noise ). I've never seen one on the roads before. The engine note was awesome and I'm now sorely tempted by one

I haven't got a car yet but i have about £1500 to spend when I get one so I was thinking about one of these...



Preferably in a hideous colour. I think they have a bit of the ghetto funk about them. Like I've stolen an ex embassy staff car and am now part of some sleazy small time organised crime racket...

I have owned one did 60,000 miles in it and apart from the usual brakes pads oil etc, the car did not cost me a penny.

Amazing news! i was hoping to hear something like that because people seem to be worried it'll cost me to run. My insurance will be horrific I expect but I've heard that they were the most over-engineered of all the Mercedes generations, are mechanically bullet-proof and as they sold more of them than any other car, the parts are everywhere and are cheap. Whoot!

It failed 1 MOT because there was no rubber on the "handbrake" peddle, which cost a grand total of 78p from the main dealer.

My Dad is on his 3rd Merc (all of them old) he has just bought a 190 with a full ticket for £500. He is only on his third because he wanted to upgrade from his 124 to a 203 which he then decided to park in the boot of an Evo 8 at a round about so got the 190 instead.

Nope! lol tbh all the W123s I've seen have had nasty interiors but that's all part of the charm for me. as I said, ghetto funk oh yeh
