one of the most important experiments in the history of mankind is taking place. If all goes well - and things are going very well - it will solve the problem of meeting the world's energy needs. More power will flow into the world's grids than we'll ever need.

Thats a whole lot of power were talking about here, what if it dosent go well lol

Fusion is so hard to get going that if anything goes wrong it just stops no massive explosion it just stops.

Hence why its un rural oxford and not in some remote location in the middle of no where.

I don't even know what anyone is on about, I just think in this world some things are meant to be left and people sick their noses in.
They wont leave any rock unturned, when some should.

"If all goes well" means we're on to a winner. If things don't go well it just means that it doesn't work and it's wasted time and money.

And as for the level of power. The reactor doesn't directly produce electricity, it just heats water and the steam turns a normal turbine. So no power overload, just the potential to produce enough for out ever increasing needs.

Fascinating..

I still believe we (yes humans in general) are sticking our noses and messing with things we have no right to not just in this case but others as well, our own curiosity might be our downfall eventually

Just out of curiosity what other areas do you think we shouldn't be investigating?

The whole cloning thing is not a new concept. Ok let's look at it like this, growing skin can be looked at like cloning but the positive aspect's outweigh the negative aspect's. The human race as a whole has much to learn and discover so the cloning process is mearly a small step but a huge one for mankind dont you think?
