I dont like it how people say Alonso got beaten by Hammy.
Erm, same amount of points, same amount of wins, same championship position.

I never said that; I made comment to Alonso's conduct while at McLaren... nothing to do with driver skill... no one can say that Alonso isn't a great driver but I would say that he is no better than Hamilton and likewise Hamilton is no better than Alonso! Drivers are judged as much by their conduct as their driving ability, hence why Hamilton got slammed for cheating in Australia and rightly so!

Actually after wins it goes down to number of 2nd places then 3rd places. Lewis got 5 2nd places Alonso got 4 so technically Hamilton finishes ahead of Alonso and therefore beats him.
No one cares about 2nd places.

Lewis Hamilton fans do!
(and Alonso fans i guess)
Unfortunately with the current points system, a second place finish is almost as good as a win with only two points difference between a win and finishing second. I wish that the FIA would adopt FOTA's suggestion of a bigger points spread to give drivers the incentive to go for the win; two extra points isn't much of an incentive in the scope of winning the world championship so drivers would be willing to accept second instead of risking taking the win, losing two points versus losing 10 points!
