Bernie will eventually go with FOTA one way or the other i think. Either everyone will stay under the umbrella of F1 as it is now and they will strike a deal, or Bernie will move to the side of FOTA, off the FIA and they will still be F1 in any case. FOTA would then take control of the regs and everyone will be happy.
I would like to see a Grand Prix in both the US and Canada. An option for Europe is to have the European GP moving from year to year. Every 5 or 6 years each country could host 2 Grand Prix's.

Doesn't the FIA own the name Formula 1? I believe that the FIA sold the commercial rights to F1 for 100 years to Bernie/CVC but not the right to take the Formula 1 name elsewhere so the Formula 1 name will remain with the FIA regardless. Formula 1 and the FIA are inextricably linked.

At least that's the impression that I get from what I have read about the inner workings of F1!
