the new bloke Leggard called Button Schumacheresque in turkey.... wheres the uproar???

A lot of people seem to ignore him, or let things slide because unlike Allen, he rarely repeats them.

Jenson is Schumacher-like only in terms of work ethic (Michael and Jenson are hardly the only drivers to adopt such a work ethic either) and how he works with Brawn. The driving is completely different. Jenson's The Chauffeur.

Yeh i did think aw you didn't when he said that.

I grimaced. These comparisons are so silly.

Im just pointing out that there was a massive uproar targeted at Hamilton when Allen said Sennaesque at Monaco last year, yet this didnt even flutter an eyelid! says something about the anti Hamilton brigade more than anything.

My eyelids did this  . Not at the comparison but at the folk who kept stum this time round :hehe: I guess they have to get their fix somehow. This season must be particularly disappointing for the hammy bashers (HB's).

edit: HB's - A collective term for people who derive great pleasure from continually making negative comments about Lewis Hamilton, for any reason imaginable.

He's getting lucky like the dustbin man chav who won the lottery! next season it will be different!

Schumacher was consistent because his car was, next season it will be a different story because the funds won't be there!

We'll see. It's very likely some of the mid-field teams will be at the front because they're possibly going to start focusing on optimising the slightly-revised 2010 cars sooner.

Oh yeah i 100% agree with you there! Is BMW,McLaren,Renault or Ferrari in the 'Pack'

If nobody knows the rules for next year how can they plan for it and build the cars?

If he keeps at it the way Allen did with the Senna thing, then yes, we can totally start telling him to STFU. Everybody gets one, but if he turns it into a meme, it's going to get really annoying really quickly.

James Allen was just using little bits of what Lewis Hamilton had said in various interviews. Hamilton is well known for citing Senna as his inspiration and hero; If Hamilton said that his inspiration was Mansell or Prost then I'm sure that James would have said it was Mansell-esque or Prost-esque; just a thought! Hamilton is no Senna!

Senna was no Senna two seasons into his F1 career.

I will have to take your word for that; I didn't really get into F1 until 1992 when Senna was already established. I still doubt that Hamilton has the natural talent of Senna, IMHO!

My best recollection is that it's more the way and frequency with which he used the metaphor at those events that annoyed us.
