Now, Now i'm not sure, i think he could get the title and retire? As they say, you should leave a champ, rather than leave with nothing?

JB is far more likeable and doesnt pretend or hype.
But LH is a far more talented driver.

I would love to see how that determination is made. LH was put in a clearly front running car at the beginning of his career, and a very good car makes a pretty good driver look fantastic. Button on the other hand was not so lucky, and had to struggle with a poor cars most of his career. During that struggle he was, for the most part, the kind of driver whose character was never called into question. He did the best he could with what he had and tried to stay positive about it. On the other hand, Hamilton went into a hissy fit the moment his car wasn't capable of the front row...and from there it just got worse. Driving skill can not be judged by where they place in a series that is not spec. The cars are nowhere even similar, so saying LH is far more talented is a result of the hype he got when he was winning. Hype, and the feelings it is meant to generate in fans, is a powerful tool...but it proves nothing about the driver.

what youre saying can be reversed now though bill, just because JB is winning in the best car doesnt mean he is better than Lewis.

I liked Button long before Hamilton came along.

...But Hamilton just wins it for me because he's brilliant for McLaren (:

He's too young to retire. He could still out-WDC Schumacher at this stage.

Before any of you fanboys start spitting venom at me, I do not think that will happen. I am just saying it is way too early for Jenson Button to retire (Especially since right now he's the hot property).

This sums it up perfectly. :) I think many people here forget that LH didn't just arrive into F1 from the street,he has been winning from an early age. He has more wins in his whole driving career than JB could ever dream of.

Same car in Formula Renault, F3 and GP2 but still won all 3,what do the people say to that.

2010 - Jenson will be 22 again.........

I'm scared now... :(:P

22 years old? 22 victories more like, while Hamilton has 22 points in a year! :twisted:

Yeah :clap::cloud9:

Jenson is more consistent but I think Lewis would edge him.

I think Lewis is a likable person in private it is just that the Mclaren press team will not allow him to be himself when in front of the media

It's a bad thing when your PR makes you more controversial, you really ought to just start ignoring them.

No sir, if you read my post you would notice that my point is that it can't be determined which of those two drivers is better at this point. I'm not saying Jenson is a better driver....though I like him better. It was brought up in another post that Hamilton won in the lessor series....but I have to wonder if he raced against Button. If not, again...can't be determined. I am not in love with either of them, personally...wouldn't stalk them for autographs or ask them to sign my forehead...just discussing the topic at hand.
