Formula One related discussion.

Neither will happen, and I don't think people should even contemplate it to be honest. Formula One is relatively sucessful as things stand, it keeps growing every year and improving its spectacle.

The FIA/FOTA battle would be better ending in a compromise - it is the most likely option and one that I think would be for the best.
The FIA isn't entirely bad, its mainly its figurehead(s) have been in office for too long, and have became too corrupt. It is better to reform the sport from within than go off and make a completely different one.

Ah, go away you little party pooper! :P
It's okay to dream or are you Mr. Orwell himself? :hehe:

Why do you need to dream though, Formula One is fine. You for one should be happy with its track record over the last few years. Up until now the FIA bent over backwards for Ferrari and even gave them a veto of the regulation. They threaten to quit after ONE thing goes against them. That's nothing in comparison to what the other teams have suffered in the past ten plus years.

What do you mean by you for one? :nono:

Certainly not a fan of Mclaren? Favour to the Red slightly

Nah, it was mostly RD. McLaren is alright now. I go with people and Ferrari has lost a lot of good blood lately - it's kinda anemic compared to 5 years ago :hehe:
My ideal combo right now would be RBR with Ross Brawn, SV and FM and a BMW-Sauber engine :cloud9:

Ahh ok, well I apologise for jumping the gun as it were.

Hope there doesnt HAVE to be a breakaway... but i'm definitely siding with the FOTA teams on the issues of more reasonable and sportive legislation, so far it has been handled only by the comercial interests and not the sporting side

They look younger too. I mean 'back in the days' you wouldnt see drivers eating ice cream wearing shorts in the middle of a race... :hehe:
Jean Todt or Ross Brawn would not have permitted that

Dunno how suitable they'd be, but i'll throw some of the Moto GP circuits in the hat, Qatar, Brno, etc etc...

I know Bernie has some link with Paul Ricard, what about Jerez?

Race chick's list was featured in autosport this week and is probably the only venues suitable to run an F1 race which won't be under contract in 2010?

Then again it'll not be happening anyways ;)
