I spent f*ing ages the other day trying to get round there in the low 1.15's... it seems the setup does have to change depending on the car though. Generally, i'd say it's worth sacrificing the straight with a bit more downforce on the rest of the lap... depends which corners you are taking quickly/slowly relative to the coloured racing line (if you use it, which i do cause i suck!).

Whilst I don't need the racing line, I find that if I turn it off I get to about half distance and lose concentration. Now, at Barcelona that's no great loss, 'cause if you mess up then you can usually stop yourself hitting the wall thanks to the gravel trap. But I've done it at Imola, Monaco, Montreal, Hockenheim and Suzuka before now without the coloured line :hehe:

I guess turn three is my main problem area. I can't pinpoint where I'm losing time in the middle sector, though. Everything seems fast, it just isn't. Maybe braking for turn ten, but even that doesn't seem bad. :S

I can just about hook up Sectors 1 and 2, but I can't get enough mechanical grip to get around the final two turns without going off every other lap.

The last sector is pretty easy to get right for me. I'm better on tracks that require more mechanical grip anyway (except Monaco >.<), so that might influence how I set the car up. :/

Monaco is easy to set up though!

Right, turn 3 is the long right yes? Turn 10... the first, tight left in the last section?

I find that you can save a good bit of time in s1 by braking nigh on the white line at the first corner, if you get your line right you can then get through the rest of the sector on full power, save for a little let off going into the long right - it's best to keep tight on the entry so you don't have to come off the power.

That knocked half a second off my time (on the second attempt - the first was somewhat catastrophic >.<, might have to tweak some settings to get that one right), thanks. :)

And Monaco isn't so much a setup issue for me as it is a not-crashing issue. :hehe:
