I don't think Renault are thinking about Senna. There's been far too much hype about Senna for my liking lately. Last year's GP2 was an odd year with the transitions to the new cars probably a factor in causing a strange year. I mean, Senna in second place only scored 64 points. Compare that to 2006 when Lewis scored 114 and Piquet 102.
Grosjean is a renault backed driver, he only finished 2 points behind Senna, he's french, he sits on the pit wall every race. He cycles around all the tracks we see him at for longer than the F1 drivers. He already knows everyone within the team, and Renault know him. So it makes no sense why Renault would choose Senna, a rather unknown factor over Grosjean.
