Is it just me or is it that Ferrari fans are such losers in trying to find any excuse to justify their loss. Please can someone explain to me how staying in you car is more dangerous.
And like manmonkee said, with LH keeping his engine on is because he never gives up. He's champion material not just a driver.
As for overtaking DC, I don't think that LH did that while knowing that DC was going into the pit lane. If you watch the race again, you notice that DC kind of decided to go in the pit lane at the last moment. But I give LH credit for his quick reaction and avoiding an accident. Maybe what we need in F1 are turn signals. Imagine you put your right turn signal on because you're entering the pit lane!

First of all, We are not the fan of any team. We are just fan of formula 1, and drivers of good ethic and practices.

And obviously Hamilton's car is faster than Coulthard's one. Why don't he wait for a bit then use the main straight to overtake Coulthard. Using the pit entrance is unwise and dangerous. It doesn't matter if Coulthard is going into the pit or not, he shouldn't have done that.

Staying in the car and keeping the engine running is a good initiative, but dangerous. Everyone has their own opinion on this. We have our own and we think this is dangerous and do not agree to his initiative. We wouldn't want a World Champion who does not consider other drivers' safety. And obviously he does not have any experience in rain racing.

Anyway, it has been said already in here, but I wouldn't think it would be permissible to be in a car that is being lifted and moved by a crane or forklift. Here, that is against the Occupational Health and Safety Act LOL.

On the coulthard incident it looked more like Ham was following DC lining him up for a slip stream down pitstraight not knowing DC was pitting thus the pull out at the last minute

whats with the amount of morons signing up here lately, how is sitting in your car dangerous to other drivers?

when youre in a position like that the best thing to do is sit in your car, can you imagine if he got out when the spiker or torro rosso came past? The tractor got hit ffs!

and all F1 cars have anti stalls in them now, he didnt damage his car by hitting the wall compared to the others around him and im sure they would have done the same thing too, seeing as the race was restarted and he was dead last what is everyones biff?

:D

Couldn't agreed more. He wasn't a danger to other drivers but only to himself. Remember, the safety car was out at this time and yellow flags where EVERYWHERE. The only IDIOT of the day is SUTIL, flying across the track and almost hitting the safety car and the crane operator.

Ralf wanting to stand on the side of the track and shake his fist at Heidffeld was pretty dumb.

I thought it was an excellent piece of intiative to leave the engine running, knowing that he would be lifted back on track and so he could carry on. Turning his engine off would hardly have moved the car out of the way any quicker, and cars aquaplaning towards him is dangerous enough, the engine running is a moot point.

Agree. With cars flying off all over the place it is most unlikely his car would've been moved any quicker. The only person he was endangering was himself, that's his own prerogative in my view. It was great idea to keep the engine running, knowing he could legally do it. Having the wit to do something like that is also one of the hallmarks of being championship winning material.

i think i would have stayed in the car myself, probably safer than running to the tyre barriers which are very hard to climb anyway.

Especially since Heidfeld did nothing wrong. That's the kind of thing you see in NASCAR, the new haven for F1 has beens. Is my hint not subtle enough?

Be fair tho, how funny would that have been if they had let him stay there!! Would have been the most entertaining thing in one of the most entertaining races i've ever seen :P

I think I remember Senna standing at the side of the track when his car had conked out, Listening to Schueys Traction Control

It was an unbelievable race, in Nurburgring. During the beginning of the race when it pour heavily, and everybody go aquaplanning, some drivers went out of the track at turn one including Hamilton. We think he should have turned off his engine and get out from his car, like everybody else. He was already trap in the gravel, there's no way he could drive himself out of it, and he should think of the other drivers safety, and should have got out of there, knowing there might be another car coming into the gravel trap too, and might hit him and endanger the other drivers. He had kept his engine running and hoping the marshals would lift him off the gravel trap back to the track, and race.

And also, in another incidents, which is much more dangerous than staying in the gravel trap, was when he tried to overtake Coulthard. He was trying to use the pit lane entrance to overtake Coulthard. Coulthard almost collided with him when Coulthard was happened to be going into the pit.

We think he should be shown the black flag for the race, and if not he should be suspended for the next race.

are you asying that if he'd have got out of his car it would have dissapeared? or another car would have passed right through it? NO, him still being in the came would have made absolutely no difference, and if any of the other drivers have had the common sence to keep their engines runnig, they could have continued as well..

the move on coulthard is no worse than any other overtaking move this year, look at the Schumacher / heidfeld accident in the same place, at least hamilton saw the situation, and backed off, unlike nick, so who is the dangerous driver?

Hamilton is currently one of the best all round drivers, and currently THE best overtaker in F1

aboldero,

Is he really the best overtaker in F1?

In season 2006 the first grand prix in Bahrain. Kimi started at the back of the grid and finished at the third place.

And how many times does Hamilton start at the back and make it to the podium. He started all of the races at the front, except for the last race and could not make it to the point. Most of the cars he overtook was shown a blue flag, except for the last race. We would not consider he is the best overtaker in F1.
