The last I read from him was .... while its nice to have intertest coming from other teams he reaffirmed his desire to see out his career at Mclaren.

Sorry cant remember where I read it, read so much stuff lately!!

I guess everything will depend on how hard they hit McLaren. Lifetime ban? Guess he might have to move then

What do I think he should do?? Write this season off and go out and have some fun with the car, and spoil a few people's picnic's along the way.

He could always go and play with Juan over in the States.

Lifetime ban?? that would be very over the top and xstremely harsh. I see mclaren threatening to pull out of F1 even before the hearing if they thought it was being considered. ...

So then...............As the thread title states, can anyone post a credible link to an interview where Hammy has said he is leaving McLaren..

Max... I think it may all be just speculation that brought that one up and the post by longbow -

McLaren's chance of retaining Lewis Hamilton could rest on the outcome of their April 29th WMSC hearing as Merc boss Norbert Haug says the Brit was and is still considering quitting.
Reports emerged in Malaysia on Sunday, a day after Hamilton apologised to his team and his fans for 'deliberately misleading' the Australian race stewards, that the 24-year-old could walk away from McLaren - and even Formula One.
Team boss Martin Whitmarsh denied these claims but couldn't stop the rumours with the British media claiming earlier this week that Hamilton's father and manager Anthony was considering advising his son to leave the team for one that is 'less prone to shooting themselves in the foot.'
And now, in the wake of the FIA's decision to haul McLaren before the World Motor Sport Council to answer charged adhering to that Australian GP stewards hearing, someone at McLaren has finally admitted that 'yes, Hamilton could leave.'

"Lewis had a very hard time from Thursday until Sunday in Malaysia - and this demonstrates that he is an honest person," Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug told the Bild.

"The topic (of quitting) is very close to him and it remains very close to him. When such a thing happens all possible thoughts go through a person's head."

Haug, though, did not go into details about whether it was just McLaren that the defending World Champ would walk away from or if he was thinking of leaving F1 entirely.

I know. I was just stating worst case scenario i which case of course he'd leave the team. I know it wont be a lifetime ban.

You have accused all of us who do not choose to jump on the Lewis bandwagon of being racists. That is insulting and as an argument, flawed.

And where in anything I have posted do I accuse everyone of being a racist. Honestly, wind your neck in and read what is there in black and white not what you imagine you see.

Your assertion that I have branded everyone who doesn't like L.H. is, like you, insulting and as an arguerment fatally flawed. Perhaps you have some sort of personality disorder. I dunno. But it seems like it.

I think that Jenson may have issues and lets get this clear I DONT MEAN RACIST.
He just picks on anyone that supports Hamilton in any shape or form.
This should be a place where you can express your views without being subjected to abuse in ANY form.

Thelma .....When I first joined Jenson picked on me as well...work that one out

stop trying to start a riot !!! .. Nobody picked on you !! you rocked up here with your "hamilton is better that thow" attitude and there a lot a people here that disagree with you. you then proceeded to make it something its not. before I upset meself with you go back and read Billindenver's very long post addressed to you.

Tony
If you go back to my first post have a read at it.
It is very friendly introducing myself and in response all I got was a put down from Jenson.PLEASE CHECK THIS
Jenson also picked on Thelma please check this.

Re Billindenver.
I not only read his post but replied in a polite way.

I dont want you to get upset lke you did last night . Thats the last thing but it is apparent that many people dislike Lewis or anyone who dares to come to his defence.
I have done nothing but praise him and people have done nothing but slate me for doing so.
Is there something wrong with being nice about someone....PLEASE TELL ME.

There is nothing wrong with praising Hamilton as you have. There is, however, something wrong with suggesting that anyone who disagrees with you has personal issues or is doing so due to racism, which you also have done on multiple occasions. You also have the tendency to bait an argument and then claim victim status when it happens. Anyone who takes issue with Hamilton's actions on and off the track has personal issues by your words...if that is not you attempting to start a fight (which was happily responded to) then I do not know what is.

Yes, many people take issue with a world champion lying to the stewards 15 minutes after he had just told the press another story and assuming he will get away with it. We take issue with his having several days to reconsider that action, but deciding instead to lie to the stewards a second time. I personally take issue with his having heard audio tape of him and his team discussing Trulli, and then his looking the stewards in the face and saying that conversation never took place. After he was penalized for all of this, he then calls a press conference and throws his team publicly under a bus. He just went from bad decision to bad decision to worse decision. I will apologize now, I suppose, for expecting the world champion to show some character. I realize you very much disagree and you have stated that he is the role model of all role models and is an absolute legend. I disagree...and expect a world champion to act like one.

Someone pointing out what they believe are flaws in your logic does not make you a victim and neither does their responding to your provocation.

Lol!!! Wheldon back to his country!! I wonder if were going to have any Indy drivers to F1 in 2010?

If a certain someone doesn't finish a single lap again then I think a certain person should be getting the boot(even though I like him as a person) Lewis should not leave!

It would be nice to see more Indy drivers try their hand at F1, it makes the sport more diverse in terms of the "World Championship" meaning that not every driver will have come through GP2, F2, F3, F3 Euroseries etc.
