Nope. If the ACO was sanctioned by the FIA, we wouldnt have the FIA GT and the Le Mans Series.

I'm certain that the FIA are still above the ACO. The only difference is they aren't directly the governing body of the likes of Le Mans. It is like NASCAR in the US - but the US or the MSA in the UK.

I have no idea dude, I just hope if they break away it doesnt become like Champ Car vs IRL. Because you know if they did, Mad Max and Bernie would start a rival series.

The difference here is, F1 without the teams in FOTA would fold within a year - Formula One Administration LTd. would likely go into administration owing to the loss of revenue relative to their massive debt repayments even if they managed to find 10 new teams.

Maybe and maybe not, look at the IRL. They had crappy cars, crappy tracks, crappy drivers, crappy teams, and the crappiest of crappy ignorant know nothing delusional fans. Yet, the IRL survived. Of course its largely due to the fact the IRL had Indy, but still... you never know

But IRL was the new Series, and as you say had the Indy 500 going for it (As well as a pretty bottomless pit of money). F1-FOTA would have nothing - no teams and no tracks.
