I have no idea dude, I just hope if they break away it doesnt become like Champ Car vs IRL. Because you know if they did, Mad Max and Bernie would start a rival series.

Nope. If the ACO was sanctioned by the FIA, we wouldnt have the FIA GT and the Le Mans Series.
I'm certain that the FIA are still above the ACO. The only difference is they aren't directly the governing body of the likes of Le Mans. It is like NASCAR in the US - but the US or the MSA in the UK.
