Hmm, i think this may have been a bit twisted to make the prospect seem even more real than it might necessarily be in reality (due to some of the grammar used in that article - although i could be reading into things waaaaay to much or just incorrectly - i consider things with single quotation marks to not be a direct quote, unlike the usual speech marks), the fact that Haug acknowledged that the thought had most likely gone through his head shows that the potential move is there - something must be going on if any amount has been induced in either party.

If Hamilton has actually considered leaving McLaren then he has basically considered stabbing nigh on everyone who made him in the back. 'Inexcusable' and 'sickening' would be the first words to come to mind if this were the case.

I wouldn't blame him if he did quit, but I don't think he should.

He needs to show loyalty to the rest of the team who have helped him get where he is now. It's up to him at the end of the day really isn't it.

DTM or IRL are the most likely places for him to go if he was to leave F1 entirely. There are restrictions on junior formulae (for example, I think that the rules for Formula BMW state that you can't compete if you have a racing licence above a certain grade) so I doubt he could go back down the ladder.

Nothing could match that lol. I know it's off topic, but when He barged Turkington out of the way, it was 'a subtle, veteran passing move', and when Shedden (I think) did the same to someone else, it 'wasn't very clever or too subtle' according to Tim Harvey. Double standards exist in Touring Cars too apparently lol.

I think Lewis should stay in F1, and you never know, if he finishes the year at McLaren, he could have repaired his relationship with the team, or if he still wants to leave, there's bound to be an opening somewhere. In the end, how much effort he, and the team puts in to their relationship will determine where he will be this year, and in '10.
